Despite widespread opposition from medical and mental health organizations, tens of thousands of LGBTQ youth in the U.S. will be subjected to anti-gay “conversion therapy” during their lifetime, a new report estimates.
Released this month by the Williams Institute at University of California, Los Angeles, School of Law, the report estimates that 698,000 LGBTQ Americans between the ages of 18 and 59 have undergone conversion therapy at some point in their lives. About 350,000 of those received that treatment as adolescents.
The report also estimates that 20,000 LGBTQ youths currently between the ages of 13 and 17 will be subjected to conversion therapy from a licensed health care professional before they turn 18. An additional 57,000 will be subjected to the controversial practice from a religious or spiritual adviser before age 18.
The study’s lead author, Christy Mallory, believes the results may surprise many Americans in the wake of marriage equality and other social strides made on behalf of the LGBTQ community.

On March 23, 2010, President Barack Obama signed the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, the 906-page health care reform law known as Obamacare. It was, as a live microphone caught Vice President Joe Biden exclaiming to his boss, a big deal, with Biden memorably inserting an extra word for emphasis—and for history—between “big” and “deal.”
Obamacare would cover millions of the uninsured, a giant step toward the Democratic dream of health care for all. It also included dozens of less prominent provisions to rein in the soaring cost and transform the dysfunctional delivery of American medicine. It was the kind of BFD that the most consequential presidencies are made of, even though it had squeaked through Congress without any Republican votes, and few Americans truly understood what was in it.

Baa Baa Obamacare have you any wool? Yes Sir! Yes Sir! Many bags full. Affordable health care is making its way through the courts.
It took Social Security approximately 7 years to get past the dissenters. I know people Black and White who worked all their lives at a minimum wage which was to low and weren’t able to save for retirement and now live on Social Security. A treat is a well prepared chuck steak. While corporations who wouldn’t pay a decent salary raked in billions.
I’m not calling for socialism, just make sure the populous has a fair minimum wage, plus quality education available. Educated people with no jobs become entrepreneurs or not, their choice, but when opportunity knocks they step up. They make better decisions when voting (electing no idiots)
Quality education, quality healthcare just 2 of the many things needed for this country to stay great!
If knowledge is power, what is lack of knowledge? Ignorance. Is ignorance a design to control the masses? Look what happens in the Muslim world. With their education systems destroyed by war , idiots now rule.
Save America from idiots, educate a healthy populous!

Dr Greger suggests a diet change that reduces saturated fats. A vegetarian diet reduces the risk of fat storage that produces cellulite. So if you eat less animal products, you are healthier, thinner and better looking (less cellulite). Your choice ladies.

Since the Affordable Care Act passed into law, companies have been vocal about the drastic measures they’ll take to avoid paying for basic health care coverage for their employees, including cutting hours and firing workers.
An increasing number of companies now say paying the government’s penalty to break the law will be cheaper than following it, The Wall Street Journal reports.
An Obamacare provision that goes into effect next year requires businesses with 50 or more full-time workers to provide health care coverage for employees. For businesses that don’t, there is a $2,000 penalty for each full-time worker above the 30-employee threshold. (Full-time workers are defined as anyone who works more than 30 hours a week in a given month.)
