These are awesome
It is amazing how one man could hypnotize all those people into following his evil concepts.
The thoughts of him not having been stopped are frightening.
These color pictures were taken by a Life photographer between 1939 and 1940 in Berlin and were lost for over 70 years because the American photographer disappeared at the beginning of the war, along with his Roliflex camera. Shown here are the originals (used at that time in the production of magazines). The majority are 6″x 9″. They were found by a nurse in a Berlin hospital, who kept them put away during all these years. After her death, her daughter returned them to the current editors, who retain the copyrights to Life Magazine, which has not been published since the early ’70s.

George A. Romero — the writer and director behind the cult-classic horror flick “Night of the Living Dead” — died Sunday. He was 77.
Romero has been called the “father of modern horror films.” He died following “a brief but aggressive battle with lung cancer,” his longtime production partner Peter Grunwald told CNN.
Grunwald said Romero passed away “peacefully in his sleep” while “listening to the score of ‘The Quiet Man,’ one his all-time favorite films, with his wife Suzanne Desrocher Romero, and daughter, Tina Romero, at his side.”
“[Romero] leaves behind a loving family, many friends and a filmmaking legacy that has endured, and will continue to endure, the test of time,” Grunwald said.

Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., has been diagnosed with brain cancer, the Mayo Clinic said Wednesday in a statement released on behalf of the senator and his family.
Doctors removed a blood clot from above McCain’s left eye on Friday.
“Subsequent tissue pathology revealed that a primary brain tumor known as a glioblastoma was associated with the blood clot,” the Mayo Clinic said in the statement.
The Mayo Clinic said in the statement that “scanning done since the procedure (a minimally invasive craniotomy with an eyebrow incision) shows that the tissue of concern was completely resected by imaging criteria,” or cut out.

President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner is also expected to appear before the Senate intelligence committee on Monday. A source told CNN Kushner’s testimony would be behind closed doors.
.
The interest in Trump Jr. and Manafort builds on already intensive congressional investigations. In June 2016, the President’s eldest son agreed to meet with someone described as a “Russian government attorney” after receiving an email offering him “very high level and sensitive information” that would “incriminate” Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, according to emails Trump Jr. publicly released last week. Manafort and Kushner attended that June 16 meeting.

This one is pretty weird as far as mysteries go. Where would hundreds of round, stone balls come from, who would make them, and what are they for? In Costa Rica, mainly along the Terraba River, these perfectly round spheres were found and are believed to have been created around 600 A.D. that’s over 1400 years ago for those who are counting.
Numbering over 300 and ranging in size from just over a couple inches clear up to over six feet in circumference and weighing up to 17 tons, these balls continue to mystify scientists.
Possibly the most interesting facet of these spheres is figuring out how a people well over a thousand years ago made perfect spheres with no power tools, and what they made them for. The best guess so far as to how they were made includes everything from the spheres washed up after a storm via a tidal wave to the belief that the people of Atlantis actually built them and left them there for the ancient villagers to find. Possibly the most interesting belief is that the Costa Ricans had a magic potion of some sort that allowed them to manipulate rock into whatever form they desired. Interestingly since these spheres are rock and therefor very heavy, not many ideas have been brought forth as to what they were used for. The idea most believable is that the spheres lined the way, through the village, to the home of the Chief as a form of honor.
We’ve gone over the top ten mysteries of the world that science hasn’t been able to figure out, and there are hundreds more waiting for an answer. A good question now might be, how many mysteries haven’t we even discovered yet? Humans love mysteries, we love the not knowing, the guessing and the speculation, and so as long as we travel and make new discoveries, scientists will continue to try and demystify our findings.
.
What are these spheres for?

The U.S. Supreme Court Wednesday cleared the way for a broader list of family exceptions to President Trump’s ban on issuing visas to people in six Muslim-majority countries.
The justices declined to put a halt to a ruling by a federal judge in Hawaii who said grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and siblings-in-law must be added to the list of close family members who can still get visas to travel to the U.S. during the 90 days while Trump’s executive order is in force.
The Hawaii judge said the State Department’s list, announced June 29, was too restrictive in declaring that only parents, parents-in-law, spouses, fiancés, children, and children-in-law would be exempt from the ban on visas for travel to the U.S. The Supreme Court ruled June 26 that while portions of the travel ban could be enforced, people overseas “who have a credible claim of a bona fide relationship” with a relative or organization in the U.S. would be exempt.

All these years later, all the changes in tennis, all the generations. All the changes in the world, really. And what do we get?
Roger Federer. Wimbledon champion. Again and again. And again, and again, and again…eight times now.
Federer beat Marin Cilic 6-3, 6-1, 6-4 in the Wimbledon final Sunday, and he was so dominant that Cilic, the 2014 U.S. Open champ, seemed to have a panic attack in the middle of the second set—crying hopelessly while he sat on a chair as a trainer stood by him, consoling and working on his blistered foot.
It was Federer’s record eighth Wimbledon title, record 19th major title. About to turn 36, Federer just went two weeks without losing a set and without being pressured in the most prestigious tournament in the world. There must be a few more records in that sentence.

You can still catch a few glimpses of the old Molly Daley, from before the dementia diagnosis two years ago, when she laughs for no reason, when she hugs her son and tells him she loves him, or when she pretends to box with her youngest grandson, wearing pink gloves and a padded helmet.
That’s the Molly who enjoyed drinking a cold beer with her dinner, going on road trips, and lending a hand to her friends and neighbors.
But that Molly is now elusive, more often replaced by a vacant gaze hiding the suffering as the disease slowly takes over her brain.
“That look of confusion, where she’s trying to process what’s going on, it’s just like a blank stare and that gets worse over time,” her son, Joey Daley, told NBC News. “It’s like, just a little bit, dementia has taken a little bit more of her away.”
Such is the agonizing nature of what’s called “Lewy body dementia,” which Joey Daley began chronicling in January through a painfully honest YouTube series centered on his mom.
