I hope you enjoy Movie Reviews which reflect my opinions of the many movies I’ve enjoyed or not!
I feel too many critics have lost sight of what a movie is supposed to bring to the viewer. They are always looking to tear a movie apart intellectually. Sometimes we just go to see a movie for pure entertainment, be it silly, fantasy, untrue, or just drama. I choose to give my reviews for the exoteric viewers who just want to be entertained.

New Orleans is a Louisiana city on the Mississippi River, near the Gulf of Mexico. Nicknamed the “Big Easy,” it’s known for its round-the-clock nightlife, vibrant live-music scene, and spicy, singular cuisine reflecting its history as a melting pot of French, African and American cultures. Embodying its festive spirit is Mardi Gras, the late-winter carnival famed for raucous costumed parades and street parties. ― Google

When Bianca Smith landed a job as a minor league coach in the Boston Red Sox organization, becoming the first Black woman to coach professional baseball, she thought about her mother.
Her mom died of cancer in 2013 and would have been proud of her daughter’s achievement. But also furious. Dawn Patterson had particularly strong feelings about the Red Sox.
She despised them.
Patterson was a lifelong Yankees fan and hated their rivals so much that when Smith won tickets to Red Sox games while in college at Dartmouth — awarded to students who attended the most varsity sporting events — she would get angry that her daughter would even consider the trip.
“Mom, but these are, like, free baseball tickets,” Smith remembered saying, emphasizing that the offer was too good to pass up.
The steadfast reply: “No!”
It’s a family joke now that Smith, who was hired in January, is making history with the team her mother could not stand.
“If I get a job with the Red Sox, Mom is going to haunt me for the rest of my life,” Smith recalled telling her youngest brother after the team first reached out to her last fall.
But without her mother’s influence, Smith might not be a baseball pioneer right now, a groundbreaker just months after Kim Ng was named general manager of the Miami Marlins, becoming the first woman in Major League Baseball to hold the title. tangie

NFL free agency is a lot like thrift shopping: If you spend a lot of money, you’re probably doing it wrong. That will be our guiding principle as we look back at the last week and determine which teams are spending wisely versus which teams are just spending.
One note before we begin: The deals below will be listed by the real value of the contracts, not the numbers as widely reported. For example, Patriots tight end Jonnu Smith was reported as signing a four-year deal for $50 million. But when factoring in his guaranteed money and how contracts are often terminated when the non-guaranteed money runs out, his deal is closer to a three-year contract for $38 million. So be aware the numbers here may not be the figures you’ve seen elsewhere.

There is an immense reward in hauling your own body to the top of a wall using nothing but flexibility, cunning, and the strength of a couple of fingers. We asked Sierra Blair-Coyle, a professional climber who buckled into her first harness at age eight, how to get there.
Before you climb, you’re going to spend a lot of time watching other people climb, so you’d better make sure you like your climbing buddies. In a rock-climbing gym, which is where you should start, you’ll encounter two beginner-level disciplines—bouldering and top-roping. Most gyms offer both, but some places may have a more robust community around one or the other. The two specialties also tend to attract different kinds of people: Bouldering is great for extroverts and larger groups, and top roping is ideal for those who want to learn with a single friend. It may be worth visiting several gyms until you find a group and style you like.

Half the Indian village of Dera Baba Nanak had gathered in the Singh family home. It was late July 2020, and relatives, friends, neighbors, kids, reporters, and even local politicians had poured into the modest four-room space, filling the house with the sugary aroma of pinni, a traditional Punjabi sweet that’s stuffed with almonds, pistachios, and raisins.
People had come to celebrate the then-19-year-old Princepal Singh, who had just been selected to the NBA G League’s select Ignite team. Standing at 6-foot-9 and 221 pounds, Singh is the tallest person in Dera Baba Nanak, a small farming community of just over 6,000 in the Gurdaspur district of Punjab, India. It’s a village where everyone knows everyone else. And everyone knows Princepal, whose nickname is “Prince.” He is the village’s star, hope, and portal to possibility: that someone from here could become something beyond here.
Singh’s selection to the Ignite team meant that he was one step away from reaching the NBA—and one step away from becoming the first Indian-born player to make an NBA roster. Satnam Singh (no relation to Princepal) became the first Indian-born player drafted into the NBA in 2015, when the Dallas Mavericks selected him 52nd, but he didn’t crack the roster. Two other Indian players—Amjyot Singh and Palpreet Singh (neither of whom is related to Princepal)—were drafted into the G League but failed to make it past that mark. And while Sim Bhullar was the first player of Indian descent to play in the NBA when he made his debut with the Sacramento Kings in 2015, he was born in Toronto.

A new video has surfaced that purportedly shows the Chinese aircraft carrier Liaoning recovering a J-15 strike fighter. The landing is perhaps the first video sourced from outside of Chinese state media to show operations on China’s first aircraft carrier.
The video likely comes from someone aboard the U.S. Navy destroyer USS Mustin, which was following the Chinese carrier strike group from a distance.
The date of the video isn’t clear. While the voices in the clip are speaking English, most of it is unintelligible. As a J-15 carrier-based fighter lands on Liaoning, a female sailor’s voice is clearly heard exclaiming, “Ooh!”
In the video, you can also see a Type 055 warship, which the U.S. Department of Defense classifies as a guided-missile cruiser, trailing the carrier. The camera also focuses on a Type 052D guided-missile destroyer leading the carrier strike group. Both surface warships reportedly broke off from the strike group before the events in the historic photograph showing Mustin’s commanding and executive officers watching the fleet from afar.

In the world, human beings are facing various problems. People who are full of greed, anger, and ignorance are seen to be fighting with each other in words and deeds. As the fighting continues, various problems such as civil wars, wars of aggression, and wars of aggression are occurring. As world peace is being destroyed, humans are facing unbearable problems. Innocent children and women are not getting the rights they deserve and deserve. I can't think of one thing every time. What is it? The United Nations. If we look at the responsibilities and duties of the United Nations, I think it is not suitable for solving the problems that are happening in the world today. In fact, the United Nations and the World Security Council, such an organization must rule the world, must be able to give orders, and must have various ways to obey orders. There must be no organization that can influence more than that organization. There should be experts from each country. They can even dominate the superpowers like the US, China, and Britain. Only then will global peace be achieved quickly. Now, if a country with power develops more militarily, economically, or socially than its own country, then powerful countries will jealously seek out enemies and wage war. Or they will attack with fighter jets. In this, innocent people are losing their lives. No one understands the value of a life. You should think about how to achieve global peace by controlling these. If the US continues to be the permanent president of the UN, world peace will never be achieved. If you think carefully, no one sees that they are working for the common good, but for their own benefit, for the benefit of their own country. The permanent president of the UN and the Security Council has rejected this, As a young Rohingya, I have come to realize that only by electing the president and secretary from among the countries in the world through a secret ballot system and governing the world fairly can we achieve global peace. The United Nations and the Security Council are organizations in which any country must govern, give orders, and make them obey their orders. For example, only when a defendant is tried in court can we hold the leaders of the countries in check and control them, can we achieve global peace smoothly. Otherwise, it will not be easy for powerful countries to use various excuses to end this war every year, every year, for the benefit of themselves and their countries. No country's leaders pay any attention to the words of the United Nations and the Security Council. If we look at it in practice, look at the Rohingya issue. Myanmar is a small country. Even that country has been under siege for 8 years. What action can be taken? Why is the UN and the Security Council Powerless? Without such Power, how can the organization bring about global peace? Everyone should think about it. Whether there is a veto or a strong one, all countries in the world can only achieve global peace if they are subject to the UN and the Security Council. Seek peace in the quiet embrace of nature. Peace is an indispensable need of the human race. It is not as if one person can kill another person, and it is as if one country can attack another country, but instead of trying to build peace, we must try to destroy the peace now, and the world is getting hotter and is on the verge of collapse. I especially appeal to all the world experts to urgently try to bring about peace in all parts of the world. Mr, Noor Muhamed Arkhan Rohingya Youth Myanmar
