Cough, shortness of breath, and tightness in the chest are some common symptoms of COPD.
Millions of Americans suffer from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), a progressive loss of lung function, but many might not know they have it. COPD symptoms often go ignored. “The most common symptom is shortness of breath,” says Norman Edelman, MD, chief medical officer for the American Lung Association in Washington, D.C. “It may be very subtle. A person might just think ‘I’m getting a little puffy on the golf course, I’m getting old, fat.’ People tend to put it aside and not worry about it.”

Is there life on Mars after all?
A provocative new study concludes that the twin robotic probes NASA put on Mars in 1976 may have detected signs of “microbial life” on the Red Planet. At the time, researchers concluded that the Viking 1 and 2 probes had detected no such signs–and the same is true of subsequent probes, landers, and rovers sent to Mars, according to Popular Science.

A Siberian mummy with intricate tattoos decorating her body has been revealed in Russia.
Researchers estimate the mysterious woman, known as the Ukok princess, was probably 25 years old when she died nearly 2,500 years ago, ABC News reports. She was most likely a member of the Pazyryk tribe, nomads who lived in the Altai mountains of Siberia. Her mummy was discovered in 1993. It was kept preserved in the permafrost, which is why her tattoos are still visible.

On July 20, 1969, Armstrong and his partner Buzz Aldrin made history as the first people to ever walk on the moon. From the New York Times article applauding the achievement:
Two Americans, astronauts of Apollo 11, steered their fragile four-legged lunar module safely and smoothly to the historic landing yesterday at 4:17:40 P.M., Eastern daylight time.
