Jack Klugman, star of the much-beloved sitcom ‘The Odd Couple’, has died, his attorney told KTRK.
He was 90.
Klugman’s son Adam confirmed the report to the AP.
According to his attorney, he died peacefully at his home in California. He is survived by his wife Peggy, two sons and two grandchildren.
Klugman is best known for his starring role in ‘The Odd Couple.’ He played Oscar Madison, the sloppy roommate to Felix Unger, played by Tony Randall. He also starred in the Academy Award-nominated “Twelve Angry Men.”

JACKSON, Miss. — Five-time Grammy winner Buddy Guy will headline a new Jackson festival in 2013.
The Jackson Rhythm & Blues Festival will be held Sept. 20-21 on the grounds of the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum. It was announced Thursday by the Jackson Convention & Visitors Bureau.
In addition to Guy, other performers include Bobby Rush, Denise LaSalle, Urban Mystic, Mint Condition, Dorothy Moore and Vasti Jackson.

The house is within The Bears Club, golf legend Jack Nicklaus‘ luxurious development, and is apparently twice as big as the other luxury homes in the gated community, Eurweb.com report.
Jordan bought two lots at the club for a total $4.8 million in early 2008.
Construction started in July 2009 and is now well into its third year and is expected to continue for another year.

CARACAS, Venezuela — President Hugo Chavez is recovering favorably despite suffering complications during cancer surgery in Cuba, his vice president said Thursday amid uncertainty over the Venezuelan leader’s health crisis and the country’s political future.A day after officials painted a grim picture of Chavez’s health, Vice President Nicolas Maduro announced at a political rally that his condition “has evolved from stable to favorable, which supports maintaining the diagnosis of an increasing recuperation.”

Mexican-American singer Jenni Rivera died Sunday in a plane crash in Mexico that left no survivors, HuffPost Voces reports.
Minutes after taking off from the northern city of Monterrey on its way to Toluca, the plane disappeared.
“My queen, we will see each other again soon,” the singer’s father Pedro Rivera told reporters in Los Angeles, according to HuffPost Voces. “We thought it was a press speculation, we wanted to believe that. But it’s true, my daughter is dead.”

GUATEMALA CITY — Anti-virus software founder John McAfee was released from a detention center Wednesday and was escorted by immigration officials and police trucks to the Guatemala City airport, where he was put on a commercial flight bound for Miami.
McAfee sat in a coach-class seat on the flight, which took off at midafternoon.
The escort to the airport, accompanied by a throng of journalists and two police trucks with sirens blaring, marked the last chapter for McAfee’s strange, monthlong odyssey to avoid police questioning about the killing of an American expatriate in neighboring Belize.

Two bodies found in a cluster of trees in Iowa were positively identified Monday as two young Iowa cousins missing for nearly five months.
According to the Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Office, the Iowa Medical Examiner’s Office itdentified the bodies as those of Lyric Cook-Morrissey, 10, of Waterloo and her 8-year-old cousin Elizabeth Collins of Evansdale, the Associated Press reported.

I’ve spoken twice at TED. The first time was in 2006. TED was a very different event then. It was a private conference for about 1,200 people. After the event, the talks were packaged in a box set of DVDs and sent just to the attendees. I gave a talk called “Do Schools Kill Creativity?” A few months later, Chris Anderson, the curator of TED, called to say they were planning to put a few talks on their website as an experiment and asked if they could include mine. The timing was perfect. Social media was beginning to take shape and the insatiable appetite for YouTube and short videos was about to emerge.
