The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, performed the ceremony in front of family and close friends of the duke and duchess, in the castle’s private chapel.
Archie’s gown is a handmade replica made by Angela Kelly, dressmaker to the Queen.
It is based on the original robe commissioned by Queen Victoria in 1841, which was made of fine Honiton lace lined with white satin, a spokeswoman said.
The duke and duchess had been criticised for holding the event without the press or public seeing any elements of the day and for keeping the identities of Archie’s godparents secret.

President Donald Trump may have just undermined the effort to get a citizenship question added to the 2020 census by identifying his administration’s real motives behind the effort.
Responding to reporters outside the White House on Friday, the president said the question was necessary “for many reasons.”
“Number one, you need it for Congress — you need it for Congress for districting,” Trump said. “You need it for appropriations — where are the funds going? How many people are there? Are they citizens? Are they not citizens? You need it for many reasons.”
But the reasons Trump named don’t exactly line up with his administration’s official talking points.
Since Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, who oversees the U.S. Census Bureau, moved to add the citizenship question to the 2020 census in 2018, the Trump administration has claimed the query is necessary to better enforce the Voting Rights Act.

International Day of the Girl Child, which is also known as the International Day of the Girl and the Day of the Girl, was launched by the United Nations on October 11, 2012. Every year the day is observed to bring focus on gender inequality and creating more opportunities for girls. It aims to raise awareness about the challenges faced by girls across the world including domestic violence, discrimination and child marriage. Inequality also includes violence against girls and right to education. Across the world, over 62 million girls have no access to education. Girls are also vulnerable to sexual violence. The International Day of the Girl Child is observed to address all these issues and promote fulfillment of girl’s rights and girl’s empowerment.

President Donald Trump began a three-day golf weekend Friday, making his 16th visit to his New Jersey golf club since entering office and pushing his total travel and security costs for his hobby to $108.1 million.
The president’s Marine One helicopter touched down at Trump National Golf Club, Bedminster around 12:45 p.m. Trump is not scheduled to return to the White House until Sunday, giving him three more golf days at his resort 45 miles west of New York City.
Heading into Friday, Trump had spent 60 days at his course in Northern Virginia, 59 days at Bedminster and 57 days at his resort in West Palm Beach. He has also visited his courses in Los Angeles; Doral, Florida; Jupiter, Florida; Scotland and Ireland ― all on the taxpayer dime.
Trump’s use of Air Force One, even the smaller version he used Friday, and Marine Corps helicopters both in Washington and New Jersey drive up costs to taxpayers, and the long weekend will add at least $1.1 million to his grand total, according to a HuffPost analysis.

Sarah Howe’s early life is mostly a mystery. There are no surviving photographs or sketches of her, so it’s impossible to know what she looked like. She may, at one point, have been married, but by 1877 she was single and working as a fortune-teller in Boston. It was a time of boom and invention in the United States. The country was rebuilding after the Civil War, industrial development was starting to take off, and immigration and urbanization were both increasing steadily. Money was flowing freely (to white people anyway), and men and women alike were putting that money into the nation’s burgeoning banks. In 1876, Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone, and in 1879 Thomas Edison created the lightbulb. In between those innovations, Sarah Howe opened the Ladies’ Deposit Company, a bank run by women, for women.
The company’s mission was simple: help white women gain access to the booming world of banking. The bank only accepted deposits from so-called “unprotected females,” women who did not have a husband or guardian handling their money. These women were largely overlooked by banks who saw them — and their smaller pots of money — as a waste of time. In return for their investment, Howe promised incredible results: an 8 percent interest rate. Deposit $100 now, and she promised an additional $96 back by the end of the year. And to sweeten the deal, new depositors got their first three months interest in advance. When skeptics expressed doubts that Howe could really guarantee such high returns, she offered an explanation: The Ladies’ Deposit Company was no ordinary bank, but instead was a charity for women, bankrolled by Quaker philanthropists.

Holly and Gary Wolf’s investment accounts thrived under their financial adviser’s management. Yet after 20 years together, the couple fired him.
When the Wolfs, of Fleetwood, Pa., got closer to retirement, Holly worried that their nest egg might not last through retirement, and she often discussed her concerns with the adviser. “He’d say, ‘Trust me, you’re fine,’ ” says Holly, 58. But she wanted the adviser to show her how their pot of money would hold up once they started drawing from it in retirement.
That’s when Holly decided to visit a coworker’s adviser to see if he operated differently. She found that not only would he be able to run the retirement projections she wanted, he also addressed other questions and concerns she had. Holly hired him.

Gone are the days I used to be excited when hearing my phone ring. Is it a friend, family member, or perhaps a colleague? Nope — just another scammer offering a “free” vacation in the Bahamas or a machine demanding payment for “unpaid medical fees.” When I think about it, I might actually receive more scam calls than actual calls.
The reality for millions of Americans is that we receive way too many robocalls on a daily basis. Nearly 48 Billion robocalls were made in the US last year, and they certainly aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.
