.
Federal Aviation Administration officials contacted the Marines when the aircraft disappeared from air traffic control radar over Mississippi, officials said.
The cause of the crash wasn’t immediately known, the Marines said. The plane went down just off US 82, about 85 miles north of Jackson, with debris found on both sides of the highway, CNN affiliate WDBD reported.

One of the coolest things you might ever see is a valley of rocks moving along the dessert floor, all by themselves. You can’t just go anywhere and see it, and it doesn’t happen all the time, but at Racetrack Playa in California you can see everything from small pebbles to ginormous boulders weighing over 700 pounds skate across the desert floor, leaving behind a noticeable track as a monument of its movement.
Scientists have been trying for years to explain how the rocks in this one area are able to move unassisted and have as many theories as a desert cactus has thorns.
Scientists have spent countless hours observing, debating and collecting data and finally they have an answer, maybe. All theories have been researched, everything from the ground is uneven and the rocks are slowly sliding down to high winds are moving the rocks to magnetic pull is causing the rocks to move based on their geological makeup. The most believable theory is that due to extremely cold winter nights and the air freezing at ground level, a perfect storm, so to say, must happen for the rocks to move.
After the large rocks are frozen to the nighttime ground, the sun begins to rise and warm things up allowing the ice to melt. Once that happens the rocks are able to “skim” across the icy surface until it’s melted. This theory works really well until you factor in that the scientists have not been able to prove this on small pebbles and rocks, which leaves them back with no real answer. It’s an unsolved mystery and it’s back to the think tank for this one.

How do those rocks roll?

Harvard has revoked at least 10 prospective students’ acceptance letters after it was discovered that the students shared racist and sexually explicit memes via a private Facebook group chat.
The group chat, which was at one point named “Harvard Memes for Horny Bourgeois Teens,” was formed in December of last year as an offshoot of the main Harvard Class of 2021 Facebook Group, the Harvard Crimson reported.
Students used the group chat to share offensive content that would have gotten them banned from the main class of 2021 Facebook group. Memes traded in the group reportedly mocked sexual assault, pedophilia, the Holocaust and children’s deaths.

President Trump reported hundreds of millions of dollars in income Friday in financial disclosure forms that shed more light on his vast business holdings.
At his golf courses alone, Trump reported $288 million in income in the past year. That includes $19.8 million from his club in Bedminster, New Jersey, where he has spent some weekends as president.
The numbers were reported in a 98-page disclosure form signed by Trump this week and made public by the Office of Government Ethics. The report covers January 2016 through April 15, 2017.
Trump reported $37.2 million in income in the past year from Mar-a-Lago, the private Florida resort where Trump hosted the president of China and ordered missile strikes against Syria. The club has doubled its membership fee in the past year.
The Mar-a-Lago income figure was $7.4 million higher than on his previous financial disclosure filing, in May 2016.

NASA’s Quiet Supersonic Transport (QueSST) aircraft passed a preliminary design review last week, marking a major milestone for the agency’s experimental X-plane concept.
NASA has been developing new designs for supersonic aircraft, with a specific focus on reducing the strength of the sonic booms — the sound created by a shock wave from an aircraft that moves faster than the speed of sound. The shape and overall design of a supersonic plane are particularly important for minimizing the loudness of the boom during flight.
“The idea is to design the airplane so that the shockwaves that are produced in supersonic flight are arranged in such a way that you don’t have a boom, you have just a kind of general, gradual pressure rise, which produces a quiet sound,” Peter Coen, commercial supersonic technology project manager, said in a video from NASA’s Langley Research Center.
