It’s been a big week for TV. NBC, ABC, FOX, CBS and The CW all announced which shows are canceled and which shows will return for another season. The jury’s still out on a few series — ahem, “Parenthood” — but here’s an updated list of what’s gotten the ax and what’s been renewed on the broadcast networks. Everyone had a childhood best friend growing up — some were real, some invisible, and if you were really lucky, they may have been a dog.
Zoey and Jasper are the cutest kid-pooch pair you’ll ever see. Zoey is a 7-year-old rescue dog from Taiwan. Jasper is 10-month-old from Los Angeles. They like to pose in matching outfits and get their picture taken by their mom, Grace Chon, who is a commercial photographer that specializes in professional pet photos.
If the photos of the duo aren’t cute enough, the puppy’s story makes it even sweeter. Chon adopted Zoey from a foster named Joy who took the pup and five siblings from a student who saved the newborn litter from being washed down a gutter.

Josie Zetz’s father won’t be there to walk her down the aisle on her wedding day. But thanks to California photographer Lindsey Villatoro, the 11-year-old was able to experience what it might be like anyway.
Her father, Jim, 62, had already been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer when he and his wife, Grace, hired Villatoro — a mother, photographer and founder of Love Song Photography based in Menifee, Calif. Two years ago, Villatoro began offering photography sessions for terminal clients or clients with serious illnesses to document their journeys and was referred to the Zetz family.
“I try to really showcase the person for who they are and not the illness,” she told The Huffington Post during a phone conversation Tuesday afternoon.

Dr. Frank Jobe, a pioneering orthopedic surgeon who was the first to perform an elbow procedure that became known as Tommy John surgery and saved the careers of countless major league pitchers, died Thursday. He was 88.
Jobe died in Santa Monica after being hospitalized recently with an undisclosed illness, according to a spokesman for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Jobe performed groundbreaking elbow surgery on John, a Dodgers pitcher who had a ruptured medial collateral ligament in his left elbow. The injury previously had no solution until Jobe removed a tendon from John’s forearm and repaired his elbow. John went on to pitch 14 years after the operation on Sept. 25, 1974, compiling 164 more victories without ever missing a start because of an elbow problem.

I started following @2sisters_angie a little over a year ago. Back then she was posting the typical stuff you see from moms on Instagram — pics of her daughter at the park, pics of her daughter eating breakfast and lots of photos of her daughter playing dress-up.
You know, the same stuff I post.
Then, about nine months ago, Angie’s feed started to change. It became clear Angie’s daughter (she calls her “Mayhem”) was more interested in fashion than the average 4-year-old. Mayhem shunned her store-bought princess dresses and started wrapping herself with scarves and sheets creating her own styles.
Then one day Angie got tired of finding her clothes in Mayhem’s toy box and suggested they make a dress out of paper. Mayhem loved the idea and they haven’t stopped creating paper dresses since.

Looks like aerie is ready for its closeup — its unretouched closeup.
aerie, American Eagle’s sister store for lingerie, has launched aerie Real, a Spring 2014 ad campaign featuring all unairbrushed models. In a release on Friday, aerie announced that the ads are “challenging supermodel standards by featuring unretouched models in their latest collection of bras, undies and apparel.”
Spotlighting models sans Photoshop is a powerful move that most fashion brands, not to mention fashion magazines, rarely make. (Notable exceptions, made all the more so due to their infrequency, include Marie Claire’s 2010 cover with Jessica Simpson, Cate Blanchett on the cover of Intelligent Life in 2012 and Verily Magazine’s total ban on all airbrushing.)
