Diego Durrell usually counts his smoothie routine as one of the healthiest parts of his day – but now he believes it almost
killed him. “I basically was staring death in the face with this illness. It was not fun. It was very, very scary,” he said. Durrell is one of 118 people in eight states who, according to the Centers for Disease Control , contracted acute Hepatitis A after eating a frozen berry blend sold at Costco.
