The horrifying ordeal of Natascha Kampusch lasted for more than eight years, but the Austrian woman still managed to preserve her inner strength and take the opportunity to escape. Wolfgang Priklopil snatched Natascha off the street in 1998 when she was just 10 years old, keeping her in a locked cellar and abusing her for almost a decade. Priklopil committed suicide by jumping in front of a train rather than be taken into custody.
