Cwm Idwal is a cirque (or corrie) in the Glyderau range of mountains in northern Snowdonia, the national park in the mountainous region of North Wales. Its main interest is to hill walkers and rock climbers, but it is also of interest to geologists and naturalists, given its combination of altitude (relatively high in UK terms), aspect (north-facing) and terrain (mountainous and rocky). In a 2005 poll conducted by Radio Times, Cwm Idwal was ranked the 7th greatest natural wonder in Britain.

Cuyahoga Valley National Park is an American national park that preserves and reclaims the rural landscape along the Cuyahoga River between Akron and Cleveland in Northeast Ohio.

The 32,572-acre (50.9 sq mi; 131.8 km²) park is administered by the National Park Service, but within its boundaries are areas independently managed as city parks or private businesses. Cuyahoga Valley was originally designated as a National Recreation Area in 1974, then redesignated as a national park 26 years later in 2000, and remains the only national park that originated as a national recreation area.

Cuyahoga Valley is the only national park in the state of Ohio and one of three in the Great Lakes Basin, with Isle Royale National Park in Lake Superior and Indiana Dunes National Park bordering Lake Michigan. Cuyahoga Valley is also unusual among several other national parks in America, being adjacent to two large urban areas and including a dense road network, small towns, and private attractions.

Ohio is a state in the Great Lakes region of the United States. Of the fifty states, it is the 34th largest by area, the seventh most populous, and the tenth most densely populated. The state’s capital and largest city is Columbus. Ohio is bordered by Pennsylvania to the east, Michigan to the northwest, Lake Erie to the north, Indiana to the west, Kentucky on the south, and West Virginia on the southeast.

In little over one hour from Madrid, in the small town of Brihuega (Guadalajara), every month of July takes place a truly amazing event for our senses: the blooming of the lavender  fields. The region’s lands are died purple and in honor of the new harvest, the Lavender Festival takes place.

With over 1,000 hectares of plantations that represent approximately the 10% of the total world production, Brihuega has turned into one of the biggest international producers of lavender.

The history of Lombardy begins over 2,000 years ago. Long before the Romans inhabited Italy, the Etruscans, a prehistoric tribe of unknown origin, spread to Lombardy from their base in Tuscany. They left behind a wealth of pottery, and brought the first known texts to the area, before being overpowered by invading Celts – who were themselves eventually conquered by the Roman people around 200 BC. The history of Lombardy revolves around the conflict between these differing tribes, and each people left their own indelible, individual mark o­n the landscape.
