For 50 years, Raju the elephant was abused, held shackled in spiked chains and forced to live off scraps from passing tourists. All that changed when he was rescued last weekend by wildlife conservationists who said the animal cried when he was finally set free.
Wildlife SOS, a group established in 1995 to protect endangered wildlife in India, set out to rescue Raju on the night of July 2. Raju is around 50 years old and was likely captured as a baby and bought and sold many times over the course of his life. He was forced to work as a begging elephant in Allahabad. His legs were bound in spiked chains that made walking difficult and left him with chronic wounds. He was also beaten.

So you’ve decided to breastfeed. Fantastic! Breastfeeding is a wonderful way to nourish your baby while establishing early bonding. Unfortunately, breast milk comes out of breasts so there are a few ground rules that we need to cover.
As you know, (female) modesty is a highly protected value in modern society. Unless you’re a magazine cover model or in a music video, exposing your female udder flesh is entirely inappropriate. Science has proven that breasts are basically large vaginas. Only you and your partner should ever see them. Just because your breast-ginas are full of milk, doesn’t mean you get to wave them around.
“I don’t expose much when I breastfeed.” This is a common excuse made by exhibitionist mothers. Just knowing that your nipples may become visible at any time is offensive and a temptation to married or newly engaged men.

Nearly 170 victims of child sex trafficking, many of whom had never been reported missing, were rescued in the last week as part of an annual nationwide crackdown, the FBI said Monday.
Besides the 168 children rescued from the sex trade, 281 pimps were arrested during the same period on state and federal charges.
“These are not faraway kids in faraway lands,” FBI Director James Comey said in announcing the annual enforcement push known as Operation Cross Country. Instead, he added, “These are America’s children.”

Researchers from Poland are reporting that a pair of male brown bears at a zoo in Croatia have been engaging in oral sex–and lots of it. Over the course of 116 hours of recent observation, the animals engaged in fellatio 28 times. That’s about one act of fellatio for every four hours, with each act ranging in duration from 1 minute to 4 minutes.

A 3-year-old boy accidentally shot his twin brother with a gun that was left unattended at their home — and now their caretakers are wanted by Virginia police.
Details are sketchy, but police say the boys were in their mom’s Hopewell apartment on Monday when one of them fired a .25-caliber bullet that went through his brother’s bottom and abdomen, according to WTVR. The victim is in a stable and improving condition, but his mom and her boyfriend are reportedly on the run.
Reashonda Sharelle Jones, 28, has been charged with two counts of child neglect, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and filing a false police report. Her boyfriend, 29-year-old Lewis Walter Jones, was charged with child neglect, obstruction of justice and evidence tampering, according to the Associated Press.

A recent New York Magazine infographic brought to light the impressive evolution of prosthetics, which as of April includes vaginas.
The piece documents advancements in regenerative medicine over the years. During an interview Wednesday, the author Matthew Giles explained to HuffPost Live’s Ricky Camilleri how exactly these artificial vaginas are created.
“You’re taking cells from external genitalia and you’re creating … this scaffolding that you place the cells on, and then you implant it to actually create the cavity, and the body takes to it,” Giles said. “Two of the four women that have undergone this procedure at Wake Forest [University] were able to menstruate.”

Turns out, Neil deGrasse Tyson hates another science-based movie more than “Gravity.” TMZ caught up with the “Cosmos” host and asked him which space movie is the most scientifically inaccurate. After calling the gossip site “the dark energy permeating the vacuum of space wherever you look,” he awarded the title to the original Disney movie “The Black Hole.”
Tyson is known for his obsession with perfection when it comes to space in movies (James Cameron altered the skyscape in “Titanic” at the astrophysicist’s request), and he called the “The Black Hole” “embarrassing” before going on a rant about all the flubs and liberties Disney took in making the 1979 hit.
“They not only got none of the physics right about falling into a black hole, had they gotten it right it would have been a vastly more interesting movie.”
