The human body is a many-splendored thing, capable of both the majestic and the somewhat scary. Neither the uterus nor the vagina is exempt from that statement; in fact, both are the basis of some of the most bizarre, surprising and generally neat anatomical facts on the internet.
Take, for example, the p. Get a good grip on your socks, or else these four fantastic facts might knock them straight off.

Former first lady Nancy Reagan died Sunday at the age of 94.
The news was first reported by the website TMZ, citing a “close family member,” and confirmed by a spokeswoman. The Reagan Library said in a statement that the cause of death was “congestive heart failure.”
The widow of former President Ronald Reagan had been hospitalized in October 2014 with a fractured pelvis.
She served as first lady from 1981 to 1989 and was known for her work in combating youth drug abuse through the “Just Say No” campaign.

In an effort to reduce income inequality and support middle-class workers, President Obama has proposed a new rule that would change how salaried workers are paid. Under this new rule, employers would be required to pay time-and-a-half to salaried workers who clock more than 40 hours per week. However, this would only apply to those who make less than $50,440 a year. This is a sizeable jump from current rules which require overtime pay for those making less than around $23,660 per year.
This new rule is similar to legislation bounced around Congress for several years now. There is great debate about whether it would help or hurt around 5 million workers. According to Labor Secretary Thomas Perez, the new rule could affect pay by $1.2 billion to $1.3 billion. There is question as to where this funding would come from, though. If employers are required to pay employees more, adjustments have to be made somewhere.
The rule raises concern that employers would be forced to start cutting back hours or even entire positions so that employees don’t have overtime. In turn, this could have a negative rather than positive effect on the economy. Former Texas Gov. Rick Perry told The Hill that he believes “government shouldn’t be in the business of mandating how much employers pay, or the level of benefits they provide.”

From Michigan to Louisiana to California on Friday, rank-and-file Republicans expressed mystification, dismissal and contempt over the instructions that their party’s most high-profile leaders were urgently handing down to them: Reject and defeat Donald J. Trump.
Their angry reactions, in the 24 hours since Mitt Romney and John McCain urged millions of voters to cooperate in a grand strategy to undermine Mr. Trump’s candidacy, have captured the seemingly inexorable force of a movement that still puzzles the Republican elite and now threatens to unravel the party they hold dear.
In interviews, even lifelong Republicans who cast a ballot for Mr. Romney four years ago rebelled against his message and plan. “I personally am disgusted by it — I think it’s disgraceful,” said Lola Butler, 71, a retiree from Mandeville, La., who voted for Mr. Romney in 2012. “You’re telling me who to vote for and who not to vote for? Please.”

The effects of popping Molly may last longer than Tomorrowland.
Science has bad news for people who use MDMA, the synthetic drug known as Ecstasy or Molly. New research published in the Journal of Psychopharmacology found poorer cognitive functioning in the brains of people who’d used MDMA compared to those who’d never tried the drug before.
MDMA causes the brain to release various neurotransmitters — among them, serotonin, which can elevate a user’s mood. Effects of taking MDMA include “mental stimulation, emotional warmth, empathy toward others, a general sense of well-being and decreased anxiety,” according to the National Institute on Drug Abuse.

A court has sentenced two Syrian smugglers to four years and two months each in prison over the death of 3-year-old Syrian boy Aylan Kurdi and four other people, Turkey’s state-run Anadolu Agency reported Friday.
The court, in the Aegean resort of Bodrum, convicted the two of human trafficking but acquitted them of the charge of causing the deaths through deliberate negligence, the agency said.
The image of the boy’s body lying face down on a Turkish beach focused world attention on the refugee crisis, graphically illustrating the magnitude of the migrants’ suffering.

RECEIVED THIS PIECE FROM A FRIEND
An Obituary printed in the London Times…..Absolutely Dead Brilliant!
Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:
– Knowing when to come in out of the rain;
– Why the early bird gets the worm;
– Life isn’t always fair;
– And maybe it was my fault.
Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don’t spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).
His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.
Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.
It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.
Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.
Common Sense took a beating when you couldn’t defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.
Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.
Common Sense was preceded in death,
-by his parents, Truth and Trust,
-by his wife, Discretion,
-by his daughter, Responsibility,
-and by his son, Reason.
He is survived by his 5 stepbrothers;
– I Know My Rights
– I Want It Now
– Someone Else Is To Blame
– I’m A Victim
– Pay me for Doing Nothing
Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone.
If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing.

Former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney delivered a scorching indictment of Donald Trump on Thursday, calling him a phony, a fraud, a misogynist and a bully who threatens America’s future.
Trump responded to Romney’s scathing critique at a campaign rally a few hours later, spending the better part of his campaign speech defending himself and criticizing Romney.
“I believe with all my heart and soul that we face another time for choosing, one that will have profound consequences for the Republican Party and more importantly, for the country,” Romney said in Utah at the Hinckley Institute of Politics Forum. “His domestic policies would lead to recession. His foreign policies would make America and the world less safe. He has neither the temperament nor the judgment to be president. And his personal qualities would mean that America would cease to be a shining city on a hill.”

On Monday, 30 black students attending a Donald Trump rally at Valdosta State University in rural Georgia were forcefully ejected — simply for being black.
On Tuesday, in Louisville, Ky., what happened to young black protesters at another Trump rally wasn’t just racist — it appears to be outright criminal.
While we have already widely reported that white supremacists are openly proclaiming that they are fully emboldened and energized by Trump, the natural progression of their romance with Trump is now on full display.
