Donald Trump established what’s alleged to have been an entirely fraudulent “university.” He has a hard-earned reputation for screwing over contractors and investors, a long history of hanging out with mobsters and has been named a defendant in 1,450 lawsuits. And yet he’s dubbed his opponent, who’s been subjected to dozens of investigations that all came up with bupkis, “Crooked Hillary.” No candidate in history has taken projection to such remarkable lengths.
But an even more impressive example of projection can be found in Trump’s constant claims that this election is being “rigged” for Hillary Clinton. There do seem to be a lot of actors trying to manipulate the outcome – or at least having that effect – but they’re all lined up behind the guy who won’t stop whining about election-rigging.
It’s unclear whether WikiLeaks is actually in cahoots with the Russian government. But Reuters reported this week that U.S. intelligence officials are investigating “a campaign they believe is backed by the Russian government to undermine the credibility of the U.S. presidential election.”

If you think this election is simply a choice between two candidates with a scandal-filled history, John Oliver has a message for you… and it comes in the form of raisins.
In his return to HBO’s “Last Week Tonight” on Sunday, Oliver took an in-depth look at the scandals surrounding both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump and found they’re not even close to equal.

“This campaign has been dominated by scandals, but it is dangerous to think that there is an equal number on both sides,” he said. “And you can be irritated by some of Hillary’s ― that is understandable ― but you should then be fucking outraged by Trump’s.”
The charges handed down against three former allies of Gov. Chris Christie in the George Washington Bridge traffic scandal provide mixed news for the Republican governor as he tries to regain momentum in support of an expected presidential bid.
Christie appears to have been cleared of any allegations that he personally participated in a scheme to shut down access lanes to the George Washington Bridge in September 2013. But the charges brought by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in New Jersey still hit close to home: His former deputy chief of staff, Bridget Kelly, and his former top appointee to the authority that controls the bridge, Bill Baroni, have both been indicted. David Wildstein, another ally, pleaded guilty to two counts of conspiracy.
The charges also return focus to a famously bruising political style associated with Christie’s administration. The documents unveiled Friday paint the trio as vindictive and petty bullies who plotted — and then covered up — a scheme to gridlock the town of Fort Lee to punish its Democratic mayor for not endorsing Christie’s re-election bid.
