Chances are you know a whole lot about your partner. What makes them laugh, what makes them seethe, what makes them blush. You probably know their dessert of choice, coffee preference, and that story from their childhood by heart. And the list of other things you know by heart is likely quite long because of course it is. You share a life with them and likely have more insight into who they truly are than anyone else.
But there’s always more to learn. And when playing a round of “How Well Do You Know Your Spouse?” it’s wise to have rock-solid answers to some other questions at the ready. About what brings them joy, what’s caused them pain, and what’s still on their bucket list. Questions that touch on the past, present, and future, because an awareness of all three is crucial, and understanding the answers will help you and your relationship in more ways than one.
Why? Now knowing the answers to these questions won’t necessarily solve problems, but it will give you a heads-up on what drives your partner. And when you understand the whys, you have a better understanding of why they react to certain things the way they do. With that knowledge, you become more empathetic, so the person you love feels loved, and possibilities for changing become more possible, since the explicit and implicit message is, “We’re in it together.”

Most of the time, life doesn’t reward us for the things we do once in a while but only for the things we do consistently.
That might sound unfair, but it actually makes our lives easier because we can afford to make mistakes, learn our lessons, and try again.
We can fail over and over again and still re-try. And most importantly, it means that we don’t need to be perfect.
The following habits can each help you live a better, healthier, and happier life.
Ideally, you’ll repeat them every single day. Realistically, you‘ll only do them once in a while. But that’s fine.

The blue-footed booby is a marine bird native to subtropical and tropical regions of the eastern Pacific Ocean. It is one of six species of the genus Sula – known as boobies. It is easily recognizable by its distinctive bright blue feet, which is a sexually selected trait. Males display their feet in an elaborate mating ritual by lifting them up and down while strutting before the female. The female is slightly larger than the male and can measure up to 90 cm (35 in) long with a wingspan up to 1.5 m (5 ft).
The natural breeding habitats of the blue-footed booby are the tropical and subtropical islands of the Pacific Ocean. It can be found from the Gulf of California south along the western coasts of Central and South America to Peru. About half of all breeding pairs nest on the Galápagos Islands. Its diet mainly consists of fish, which it obtains by diving and sometimes swimming underwater in search of its prey. It sometimes hunts alone, but usually hunts in groups.
The blue-footed booby usually lays one to three eggs at a time. The species practices asynchronous hatching, in contrast to many other species whereby incubation begins when the last egg is laid and all chicks hatch together. This results in a growth inequality and size disparity between siblings, leading to facultative siblicide in times of food scarcity. This makes the blue-footed booby an important model for studying parent-offspring conflict and sibling rivalry.
The blue-footed booby was described by the French naturalist Alphonse Milne-Edwards in 1882 under the current binomial name Sula nebouxii. The specific epithet was chosen to honor the surgeon, naturalist, and explorer Adolphe-Simon Neboux (1806–1844). There are two recognized subspecies: Wikipedia

Fairly or not, people judge you for how you speak just as much as they do for what you say.
Brilliant and hard-working as you may be, if your way of speaking comes across as immature or scattered, then people — especially your bosses and co-workers — will probably have a hard time taking you seriously.
As a public speaking coach, I always stress that the key to respect and credibility is to be direct, succinct, and informative. And you can start doing that by avoiding five types of words and phrases:

There is good evidence that the Christian faith in the United States of America is in the process of change and decay. There is a great hymn “Abide With Me” which says “Change and Decay in all around I see, O Thou who changest not abide with me.” That has to be the hope of those who are “spiritual but not religious.”
The evidence is that the mainline, old-line Christian denominations, continue to lose members. Death and desertion are taking their toll. The average in most congregations has to be over 50. The number of “nones” continues to grow among the young generations. Lots of young families just have other things they are doing on Sunday. Even the Southern Baptist denomination notices a lack of growth in their membership.
The version of the Christian faith that does seem to still have some vitality is the evangelical religious right of the non-denomination type. The prosperity gospel which tells them that God will give them fortune and fame if they are faithful. There is a version of righteousness that wants to dictate morality to the rest of the world that seems to be appealing to some.
This version of the Christian faith appears to me to be a major part of why the Christian faith is fading. There is a meanness in that faith. There is a lack of inclusiveness in that faith. The dictatorial morality would drive a lot of people away from their fellowship. The Christian fraud that would prohibit the building of mosque, the Christian fraud that would refuse to allow certain biological types to join in marriage, the Christian fraud that would prevent a woman from having the power to chose but then have the meanness to refuse welfare for the help with the demanded birth, drives lots of people away from that group. The effort to impose their morality on a multi-cultural society simple turns people off.

Bartolomé Island is a volcanic islet in the Galápagos Islands group, just off the east coast of Santiago Island. It is one of the “younger” islands in the Galápagos archipelago. This island, and Sulivan Bay on Santiago island, are named after naturalist and lifelong friend of Charles Darwin, Sir Bartholomew James Sulivan, who was a lieutenant aboard HMS Beagle.
Small Orange Lighthouse at the Summit of Bartolomé Island
With a total land area of just 1.2 square kilometers (0.5 square miles), this island offers some of the most beautiful landscapes in the archipelago. The island consists of an extinct volcano and a variety of red, orange, green, and glistening black volcanic formations.
Bartolomé has a volcanic cone that is easy to climb and provides great views of the other islands. Bartolomé is famous for its Pinnacle Rock, which is a distinctive characteristic of this island.
It has two visitor sites. At the first one, one may swim and snorkel around Pinnacle Rock; the underwater world there is really impressive. Snorkelers are in the water with the penguins, marine turtles, white-tipped reef sharks, and other tropical fish. The bay is also an excellent place to go swimming. The twin bays are separated by a narrow isthmus.
Galápagos penguins are frequently seen, and a small cave behind Pinnacle Rock houses a breeding colony. Seasonally, Bartolomé is the mating and nesting site for the green turtles. With herons, they make use of the gentler beaches. The Galápagos lava cacti colonize the new lava fields.

Did you know you could use dishwasher tablets in way more places than just your dishwasher? Turns out, we’ve all been sleeping on the lesser known uses of these compact cleaning agents. Since they’re designed with bleach and enzymes to remove stains, combat hard water, and eat through grease, those little pods can pack a mighty cleaning punch in areas of your home beyond just the dishwasher.

An overlooked past article – Don’t let this happen again!
GAS THE KIKES, WITH NO SURVIVORS.”
“Take back Europe and expel the Jews.”
This is the sound of the alternative right achieving an unprecedented political victory. On Wednesday morning, the emergent community of white nationalists and right-wing internet trolls learned their “god-emperor,” Donald Trump, had won the presidential election. They took to their old stomping grounds to celebrate, hurling Nazi memes and racial slurs like gobs of shit.
For the alt-right, the victory was a long time coming. Over the past year, on popular hangouts like 4chan, 8chan, and Reddit, a group of young, internet-savvy Trump supporters have coordinated to popularize coded racial slurs, manipulate the election, attack Jewish journalists with violent Nazi imagery, smear rape victims and spread anti-Semitic conspiracies.
Trump has never publicly acknowledged, let alone denounced, the alt-right, but he’s certainly aware of it — he retweets their blatantly anti-Semitic memes and falsified data to justify his racist beliefs, and he uses loaded phrases like “global special interests” that dog-whistle a devoted horde of anti-Semitic conspiracy theorists into a frenzy.
Any Jewish writer with a Twitter account can tell you how this type of bigotry has become a ubiquitous tool of harassment — and it’s not going away. As BuzzFeed‘s Doree Shafrir put it, “Anti-Semitism has emerged from the shadows, and it’s not going back.”
