Trystan Reese and Biff Chaplow exploded onto the parenting scene a couple years ago after the couple fought to adopt Chaplow’s niece and nephew, who were living in a traumatic home. Their journey through court hearings and custody battles was chronicled on the popular parenting podcast The Longest Shortest Time, and Reese and Chaplow were dubbed the “accidental gay parents.”
Now, after gaining custody of their son and daughter, Reese and Chaplow are planning to add a third child to their family. Reese, who is a transgender man, is pregnant. In a new episode of the podcast, he and Chaplow talk about their decision to have a baby, going through a miscarriage, finding out Reese was pregnant, telling their families, and how other people react to seeing a pregnant man.

Former NBA star Lamar Odom is hospitalized and in critical condition after he was found unresponsive Tuesday (Oct. 13) afternoon in a Las Vegas-area brothel.
Odom had been at the Love Ranch brothel since Saturday, and owner Dennis Hof told TMZ.com that he was taking eight to 10 herbal Viagras at a time during his stay. Hof says that “there was no sign of drugs at all” in Odom’s room but that he had requested a bottle of cognac. But new reports say that both cocaine and opiates have been found in Odom’s system, and his condition is being treated as an overdose.
He was discovered unconscious while vomiting and foaming at the mouth, Hof told the New York Daily News. The 35-year-old is in a coma and may have had a stroke while unconscious, likely incurring brain damage.

While it remains to be confirmed if Lamar Odom took “herbal Viagra” pills, health experts say it’s wise to steer clear of them because they’re not regulated. (Photo: Malone/FAMEFLYNET PICTURES)

At first glance, Microsoft’s choice to introduce both regular and XL-sized Windows 10 phones on Tuesday might look like a desperate attempt to keep up with Apple and Google. But a closer inspection of what these new phones actually can do, however, will tell you that Microsoft is in position to take the lead in next-generation handsets.
The reason: Windows 10 Continuum.
Continuum turns your Windows 10 smartphone into a full-on computer you carry around in your pocket. Plug your handset into the $99 Display Box — a hockey puck-sized hub with USB ports and an HDMI screen output — and all the apps and documents on your phone will scale up to PC-size, ready to be manipulated using a full-sized keyboard and mouse.
The caveats: Continuum will only be coming to Microsoft’s new Lumia phones (set to be released this November), not any current Windows phones. And this trick will only work with Windows 10 “universal apps” (more on those in a bit).

Dave Goldberg, CEO of SurveyMonkey and husband of Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg, died suddenly Friday night, according to a public Facebook post by his brother, Robert Goldberg. He was 47.
“It’s with incredible shock and sadness that I’m letting our friends and family know that my amazing brother, Dave Goldberg, beloved husband of Sheryl Sandberg, father of two wonderful children, and son of Paula Goldberg, passed away suddenly last night,” Goldberg writes.
Goldberg had been CEO of SurveyMonkey since 2009. His time at SurveyMonkey was part of an epic career, full of ups-and-downs, during which the media company he founded got acquired by Yahoo right after the internet bubble burst in the early 2000s.

At the resplendent China World Hotel in Beijing, scores of cameras snapped as colorful confetti floated down from the ceiling. It was Aug. 11, 2005, and this was the global coming-out party for Alibaba, the Chinese e-commerce upstart. After months of frantic negotiations, the American Internet giant Yahoo had agreed to invest $1 billion in cash and create deeper business ties, in exchange for a 40 percent stake in Alibaba.
Alibaba’s founder, Jack Ma, thin, energetic and standing just over five feet tall, was beaming. He gushed that it was China’s Valentine’s Day and this was a beautiful match: “You’d be foolish if you said no.” It was his coming-out party too; the partnership would pave the way for Alibaba to become an international juggernaut.

An app created by a UK teenager has been acquired by web giant Yahoo in a deal the BBC understands to be worth “dozens of millions” of pounds.
Seventeen-year-old Nick D’Aloisio’s Summly app summarises news stories from popular media companies.
Neither company would disclose the terms of the deal publicly.
The app itself will now close, but its features will be used in mobile products at Yahoo, where Mr D’Aloisio has been given a job.
He will be joined by several of Summly’s “top staff” in new roles at Yahoo in the next few weeks.
