Bomb threats were called in Tuesday at the offices of a prominent Jewish civil rights organization, while several other Jewish Community Centers and schools across the country were similarly targeted, police said.
This latest wave of at least nine anonymous threats was quickly denounced by politicians and Jewish leaders, and comes after a federal investigation led to one arrest in St. Louis last week.
“This is not ‘normal,'” Jonathan Greenblatt, the CEO of the Anti-Defamation League, said in a statement. “We will not be deterred or intimidated.”

Down dog is a resting pose. If it doesn’t feel that way, you have some adjusting to do.
Typically, people are bearing too much weight in their arms instead of their feet, and not reaching their chest back towards their thighs enough. Also, people tend to get “trapped in their traps” by squeezing their shoulders up to their ears. And if you don’t get your hands right, you could hurt your wrists, exacerbate carpal tunnel or worse.

SpaceX has shared scant details about its newly announced plan to send private citizens on a trip around the moon late next year.
The company hasn’t disclosed the space tourists’ identities or said how much they’ll pay for the chance to buzz the moon and go far beyond before returning to Earth. Nor did SpaceX say exactly what training the tourists will undergo or how they will occupy themselves during the week or so between lift-off from Kennedy Space Center’s near Cape Canaveral, Florida and their return to Earth.
But no matter what, the tourists are in for an experience almost beyond imagining.
So says Richard Garriott, an Austin, Texas-based video game entrepreneur who in 2008 became one of only a tiny handful of private citizens to go into space when he spent 12 days in low Earth orbit aboard the International Space Station.

The helicopter settles in the elephant grass, rotor wash flattening the six-foot-tall fronds.
The first man on the ground is Travis, a brawny Green Beret with a solemn demeanor. He scans the treeline, carbine at the ready, and the rest of the soldiers follow.
Three Ugandan troops lead the way as a trio of Americans disperse through the column, weapons at the ready.
On its surface, this is a simple mission. U.S. Army Special Forces, or Green Berets, have been ordered to “apprehend or remove” one of the world’s most notorious warlords from the battlefield, along with his top commanders.

In 2009, an unknown 47-year-old named Susan Boyle shocked the world with her breakout performance on Britain’s Got Talent. With a few short months, she had become a viral sensation, performed for President Obama, the Queen, and the Pope, and earned over $7 million. Recently, though, she seems to have completely disappeared. Here’s a look at the real reason we don’t hear about Susan Boyle anymore…

The death toll covers those who died in the rural areas of Somalia’s southwestern Bay region where the drought is more severe than other parts of the country. It was not immediately clear how many others have died in the rest of the country.

Women and children crossing together illegally into the United States could be separated by U.S. authorities under a proposal being considered by the Department of Homeland Security, according to three government officials.
Part of the reason for the proposal is to deter mothers from migrating to the United States with their children, said the officials, who have been briefed on the proposal.
The policy shift would allow the government to keep parents in custody while they contest deportation or wait for asylum hearings. Children would be put into protective custody with the Department of Health and Human Services, in the “least restrictive setting” while until they can be taken into the care of a U.S. relative or state-sponsored guardian.
Currently, families contesting deportation or applying for asylum are generally released from detention quickly and allowed to remain in the United States until their cases are resolved. A federal appeals court ruling bars prolonged child detention.
President Donald Trump has called for ending so-called “catch and release,” in which migrants who cross illegally are freed to live in the United States while awaiting legal proceedings.

This is really poorly made, I see so many pictures out of order! I’ll try to make a better one in the future, I just need a face merging program! (Or someone else can have a go at making one?)
I actually wept over this… 4:48 mainly triggered it. I couldn’t help it, it’s saddening… just think deeply about time, about aging, about the meaning of life… *eh-em* Anyway, I spent all day getting these images to be somewhat aligned for a smoother transition- I wanted to actually create a merging effect like you see in videos such as these: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7LCkc…, but I don’t have a program for that, so I used this “cross dissolve” transition, which only partially works.
I also wanted to include the years in the bottom left corner, but I couldn’t get the captions to work correctly. Also, I am not very interested in Jackie Kennedy post-JFK assassination, (to be honest, one of the reasons is I really dislike her clothing and hairstyle choices), but I included all the years in this video, because this is showing her whole life.
Jackie’s age progression into the 40-year range and above makes me feel sad… makes me think about things… time is the ruler of all life… time… One of my favorite poems is about time: http://www.shakespeare-online.com/son… (William Shakespeare) Sorry, slightly random, but I just adore that poem. The concept of time frightens me when I think too deeply about it. Stop– this is depressing … devouring time … what is time?

Rose Kennedy Schlossberg sent the internet into a tizzy in 2016 — not just because she’s the star of the new apocalypse preparation web series End Times Girls Club. She’s also the spitting image of one of America’s most cherished icons: her grandmother, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, better known as Jackie O.
Rose’s mother, Caroline, is the only surviving child of Jackie and former president John F. Kennedy. But the beloved first lady’s striking looks appear to have spanned the generations to reach Rose, who’s now been nicknamed “Jackie 2.0.” And that’s not all the young beauty has in common with her famous grandma. Here’s what you may not know about Rose Kennedy Schlossberg.

Juan Thompson, 31, was charged with one count of cyber-stalking for making at least eight threats as part of an attempt to intimidate a particular person after their romantic relationship ended, according to a criminal complaint filed in the Southern District of New York.
.
The accusation against Thompson accounts for just a small minority of the 101 total bomb threats that have been received by Jewish institutions since 2017 began, according to data from the JCC Association of North America.
“No one has been arrested for making the nationwide robocall JCC threats,” New York State Police’s Beau Duffy said. “That’s still an active FBI investigation.”
