In real life, the process of aging, decaying and being reborn could take decades — even centuries. Thanks to the wondrous glory that is the internet, we can skip the boring parts and experience the entire cosmic miracle in 75 seconds.
London-based artist, animator and body painter Emma Allen performs the phenomenon that is reincarnation using her own face as a canvas. Allen turns from an aging woman to a rotting skeleton to a burgeoning fetus to a leopard, making a few other existential stops along the way. The entire process took Allen five days, using only stop frame animation and some very expertly applied face paint.
