Watch Dogs, Splinter Cell: Blacklist and Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag are going to look best on PC, thanks to an “alliance” formed between developer/publisher Ubisoft and graphics card manufacturer Nvidia, the two companies have announced. Tony Key, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Ubisoft, said that the partnership will allow Ubisoft to deliver “stunning” performance for new and upcoming games. “The PC remains one of the world’s most popular gaming platforms, and we’re committed to offering PC players the best possible experience with our games,” Key said.
So what does that mean for PC users? Fancy techno-jargon graphics options! Enjoy TXAA antialiasing, soft shadows, horizon-based ambient occlusion, and advanced DX11 tesselation! Need to upgrade your graphics card to take advantage? You can pick up Blacklist as part of a bundle when you purchase a qualifying GeForce GTX 660, 660 TI, 670, 680, 760, 770 or 780 graphics card.

PlayStation 4 game prices will run the gamut from one dollar to sixty, SCEA CEO Jack Tretton has revealed. “We’re going to welcome free-to-play models, games from $.99 up to those $60 games,” Tretton revealed in a CNBC interview.
Tretton also responded to the fact that we didn’t actually get to see the PS4 during the unveiling event earlier this week, even though Sony told us all about the innards. Tretton says it was more important for Sony to show the concepts behind the system than to make a big deal out of the hardware itself – excluding the DualShock 4, obviously.

The PC versions of fighting games are usually the last to receive any updates or content made for their respective arcade and/or console brethren, but that doesn’t mean the developers behind said games don’t feel super awful about it.
To wit, Capcom will be reducing the price of the Street Fighter X Tekken character DLC that hits PCs on Wednesday, February 6, from $19.99 to $4.99, at least for the first two weeks of its availability. The DLC pack contains 12 characters originally added to the console version back in July of last year.

The NPD’s latest report says there are 400 million Internet-connected devices inAmerican homes these days, 39 million of which are video game consoles.
The majority of connected devices (about 184 million) are still plain ol’ desktop and laptop computers, and smartphones are in second place with about 133 million devices. Video game consoles come in third, right above tablets (31.8 million) and connected HDTVs (16 million), which means there’s a significant number of game-oriented devices out there plugged into the Internet.
