Alzheimer’s is one of the most horrible and deadly diseases known to man.  Still Alice deals with a 50 year old linguistics professor who has been diagnosed with early on-set Alzheimer.  Although it’s rare to have Alzheimer’s at 50, Alice Howland played by Julianne Moore is assumed to have inherited it from her father.  Still Alice shows the heart ships caused by this debilitating disease.  Alec Baldwin plays Alice’s husband, John who does everything in his power to support her but is unable to cope.  We get an intimate look into the deterioration of a person with the early on-set of this disease.  Alice and John also have 3 children Anna (Kate Bosworth), Tom (Hunter Parrish) and Lydia (Kristen Stewart) who are also in jeopardy of inheriting the disease.  Still Alice is very real and very sad.  The movie teaches us a philosophy on how to live with Alzheimer…

I drone is an unmanned aerial vehicle according to Wikipedia.  It is usually thought of  as a weapon of  war used  by Special  Forces Operations to keep pilot’s safe. There is a small but growing  number of civilian application  using drones  in policing, security, inspections, border patrols, and now wedding photography !

K. Food, glorious food! Eating new and exotic food when I’m scratching that itch always gives me a sense of pure joy when I’m travelling (or touristing…). Sure, everyone gets a case of Bali Belly now and then but it should never discourage you from gorgin yourself on the fruits you’ve never seen before, or the mystery meat in the stew being served up or jumble of veg and noodles flash-fried in front of you.

I love to eat. And the quality of a country’s cuisine forms a large part of its “return to” criteria: how likely am I to go back to said country? Much more likely if it can offer me tasty delights.

And so here is my list of favourite food destinations so far.

As India gets ready to host President of the United States of America Barack Obama the Prime Minister’s think tank is also gearing itself up to discuss a host of issues especially Afghanistan.

</aThe possible rise of the ISIS the Al-Qaeda and also the sudden surge in activity by Pakistan are all issues that would be discussed by the US president and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Sources tell oneindia that there are a host of issues ranging from defence to economy which would be discussed, but Afghanistan will be a very issue during the talks between the two leaders.

Weird is as weird does and Foxcatcher is weird.  The tone is set so dark that it was hard to know what happy was.  Foxcatcher which is based on a true story has emerged as an Oscar contender.   I’m not very familiar with the sport of wrestling however after seeing Foxcatcher, I realized it was not really about wrestling but about the pressures of life and the impression most of us would like to leave on our parents.  Steve Carell brilliantly plays the wealthy John DuPont who has a passion for wrestling.  His desire to own a team that would take home the gold during the 1988 Olympics, brought him to a relationship with Mark and Dave Schultz played by Channing Tatum and Mark Ruffalo, respectively.  Both are world renowned for their wrestling talents and had already won gold for the 1984 Olympics.  The acting was fantastic as this…

Biologists are buzzing about a dramatic new photo showing what’s being called “the first record of a thresher shark giving birth.”

Published online Dec. 23, 2014 in the scientific journal Coral Reefs, the remarkable photo was taken by Australia-based photographer Attila Bicskos while diving in the Philippines. It shows the body of a baby shark just as it starts to emerge from its mother’s body–and the photo was almost discarded before anyone knew what it showed.
