Positive Alacrity is the art of creating micro-experiences that have an emotionally uplifting impact on others. But I’m getting ahead of myself …
A quick Google search for “secret to happiness” brings up over 7,500,000 results.
That’s a lot of people writing about and searching for something that, according to a groundbreaking Harvard study, has already been found.

Do you ever get upset about the nasty behavior of your co-workers, friends, or even family? Well, if you let others upset you, it’s not their fault.
“It’s not me, it’s him!” is what most of us say. We’re always quick to blame others for how we feel.
We say that others make us feel that way. But that’s false. You decide how you feel about the things that happen in your life.
Events can’t harm us. Our perception of an event harms us. That’s one of the most important ideas of Stoic philosophy.

The 9-year-olds have matching button noses; toothy grins; roaming, smiling eyes. Noah and Josiah are Nordic blond and fair, Nariyah and Maliyah olive and deeply brunette, and their four brothers — Jonah, Jeremiah, Isaiah and Makai — run the gamut. Octuplets.
“Hand me the spoon,” said Maliyah, standing at the stove.
“I’m already mixing the potatoes,” Josiah said.
The children moved in unison, weaving around the tight kitchen and adjacent living room of their three-bedroom Orange County townhouse while their mother checked on their brother Aidan, 13, who has autism.
One kid chopped veggies, one boiled water, one readied the silverware and on and on.

A Trip To Idaho’s Never-ending Canola Fields Will Make Your Spring Complete
While spring in Idaho often means steadily increasing temperatures, rising rivers, and a bounty of wildflowers, there’s no denying that the return of colorful blooming flowers and the return of lush greenery is a welcome sight after winter. There’s no better time to start exploring or getting your hiking boots broken in for summer!
While the Camas Prairie Centennial Marsh in Fairfield gets an abundance of attention around this time of year for its vibrant purple lilies, and our glorious mountains and foothills are adorned with rainbows of wildflowers, one overlooked region is a sunny sea of particularly beautiful blooms this time of year: North Central Idaho. Here, you’ll find a never-ending ocean of golden flowers stretching and rolling as far as the eye can see – and it’s as lovely as can be!
