Like Ol’ Man River, Tom Brady just keeps rolling along.
Brady, 41, the oldest quarterback ever to start a Super Bowl, took a back seat to a dominating defensive performance in the 53rd Super Bowl on Sunday in Atlanta, but he safely steered the New England Patriots to a 13-3 victory over the Los Angeles Rams for his record sixth Super Bowl title.
Brady’s and the Patriots’ sixth championship came on the 17th anniversary of the first, and it was a rematch. The Patriots beat the Rams, then representing St. Louis, by 20-17, setting Brady and coach Bill Belichick off on an unparalleled streak of success that has brought them six National Football League championships. (The Pittsburgh Steelers six Super Bowls came with different coaches and quarterbacks.)

“Some mode of displacing an unfit magistrate is rendered indispensable by the fallibility of those who choose, as well as the corruptibility of the man chosen.” — George Mason, Constitutional Convention, June 1787
“We’re going to go in there. We’re going to impeach the motherf—er.” — Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), Jan. 3
The contrast between these two statements reveals everything about the challenge of exercising Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution and attempting to remove President Trump from office. By now, the “unfit” condition of this magistrate is clear, as is his disdain for the principles and traditions of American public life. But the fitness of Congress, the sole branch empowered to impeach and convict the president, also bears scrutiny.
Is the least-trusted institution in America — rated lower than big banks, the news media and the presidency itself — ready to investigate and try a president in a way that conveys legitimacy and inspires broad confidence? And could the American public, already so divided and cynical, regard whatever outcome emerges from that process as nonpartisan and fair?

Introduction
We stand on the doorstep of the 5G world.
When the Wright brothers invented the airplane, it fundamentally altered how we experience traveling.
It wasn’t just about speed. Yes, it was great getting from Chicago to Miami in less time. But flight also gave us thrill of defying gravity and soaring to new heights.
Flight became a new “user experience” for every traveler: the space-age feel of the airport; the visceral rumble in the chest as the turbine engines fire up; the press of G-force as the plane accelerates down the runway; the flutter in the stomach as the plane leaves the ground; the exhilaration of bursting through the clouds cruising at 30,000 feet.

The next generation of wireless technology promises much faster speeds while using less power. No wonder Beijing is throwing everything at getting there first.
The Fangshan district is a quiet outer borough in southwest Beijing. Until recently it was best known for its petrochemical and steel plants. Today, this neighborhood of sleepy apartment buildings and train tracks is part of a mobile revolution enveloping cities across China: the world’s biggest rollout of 5G technology.
Last fall, the Fangshan government and China Mobile, the country’s largest mobile operator, outfitted a 6-mile (10-kilometer) road with 5G cell towers. Since September 2018, companies have been using the connectivity to test wireless communications between autonomous vehicles and their surroundings. The 5G network transmits data from car sensors, roadside sensors, and video cameras installed above the road to a local data center, which analyzes the information and sends it back to the vehicles to help them navigate.

“Roma,” the moving drama from director Alfonso Cuarón that is based on his childhood in 1970s Mexico City, and “The Favourite,” a dark comedy about women vying for power in Queen Anne’s court in the 18th century, dominated the 91st Academy Awards nominations on Tuesday morning with 10 each, including best picture.
Close behind was “A Star Is Born,” Bradley Cooper’s directorial debut starring himself and pop superstar Lady Gaga, with eight nominations. The film, the third remake of the 1937 classic about the pitfalls of fame, landed nods for actor (Cooper), actress (Gaga), and original song, for the hit “Shallow,” though Cooper was snubbed in the director’s race.
“Vice,” the Dick Cheney biopic starring an unrecognizable Christian Bale as George W. Bush’s vice president, also received eight nominations. Bale looks to continue his award season sweep with a nod for best actor; Amy Adams, who plays his wife, Lynne Cheney, was nominated for best actress.

The 2019 Oscars might still be down a host, but at least now they have some nominees.
Netflix’s “Roma,” from writer and director Alfonso Cuarón, and Yorgos Lanthimos’ dark period comedy “The Favourite” led with 10 nominations each for the 91st Academy Awards, announced Tuesday. “Roma” became a game-changer for the streaming service as its first Best Picture nominee.
The nominations were announced by Kumail Nanjiani and Tracee Ellis Ross in Los Angeles at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Samuel Goldwyn Theater.
