I recently finished reading In Search of the Miraculous- Healing Into Consciousness by Eliza Mada Dalian. It’s a book for spiritual seekers wanting a manual on the path out of fear, pain, and suffering. This is a largely down to earth book that attempts to simplify the mystical and make it accessible to the average reader. It is not St. Theresa of Avila, The Cloud of Unknowing, a Buddhist sutra, or a Sufi text. Dalian grounds her work and for that we can be thankful.

The one section I found to be particularly useful was the part concerning the development of the ego-mind in each of the chakras. Chakras can be thought of as circular energy centers, and for our purposes, we will use the traditional Indian system of seven chakras. Dalian is careful to point out that spiritual development through the chakras is not necessarily a linear one. I take…

We don’t think with the mind, we are thinking FOR the mind. Get to know your ego.

The dark emotions like fear are just thermes, words, that blocked your higher self. The higher self  is working overtime to wake you up. Fear don’t killing you. Understand the shadow, don’t be afraid of fear.

The unconscious always shines back, the face that look into it. The greatest symbol of unconscious is the mirror.

You can change your mind if you understand the fear is build in the universe, then the fear lose his power.

Don’t let fear hold you back for progress.

Know your own strengt, learn your inner step by step.. Never let the negative people, or your negative inner voice,  stop you for dreaming and reaching for your goals.

The nanophysicists working at IBM appear to be Trekkies.

In honor of the iconic science fiction franchise’s latest film “Star Trek: Into Darkness” — set for release on May 17 — IBM has unveiled amazing new photos crafted from the microscopic movements of single carbon atoms.

“Scientists used a microscope the size of a room to maneuver single atoms to form the shapes of the Enterprise, the Vulcan salute, the Star Trek logo, a U.S.S. Enterprise the height of a single nanometer, and an animation of the Star Trek logo,” IBM officials said in a statement.

A deadly tornado tore through the Oklahoma City suburbs on Monday, destroying a school and devastating a community.

According to the Associated Press, dozens of deaths from the Oklahoma tornado were reported by the state medical examiner’s office. The deadly weather followed Sunday’s tornadoes, which killed two in Shawnee, Okla.

When we were kids, we were amazed that Superman could travel faster than a speeding bullet. We could even picture him, chasing down a projectile fired from a weapon, his right arm outstretched, his cape rippling behind him. If he traveled at half the bullet’s speed, the rate at which the bullet moved away from him would halve. If he did indeed travel faster than the bullet, he would overtake it and lead the way. Go, Superman! In other words, Superman’s aerial antics obeyed Newton’s views of space and time: that the positions and motions of objects in space should all be measurable relative to an absolute, nonmoving frame of reference.

In the early 1900s, scientists held firm to the Newtonian view of the world. Then a German-born mathematician and physicist by the name of Albert Einstein came along and changed everything. In 1905, Einstein published his theory of…

My TEDTalk,  is about the process by which we learn to read each other. Here are five reasons that I study how human brains think about other minds.

(1) It is a hard, and awesome, problem.

(2) It matters to society.

(3) It might help treat disease.

(4) It keeps me busy.

(5) Luck.

Ideas are not set in stone. When exposed to thoughtful people, they morph and adapt into their most potent form.
