Bass Reeves , was the man who the legend of the Lone Ranger was written about … Not surprisingly, was written out, or purposely overlooked in histories of the… West, by historians, until recently, and who was the subject of a long overdue book written a few years years ago by Art Burton, titled Black Gun, Silver Star: The Life and Legend of Frontier Marshal Bass Reeves.

.

Naturally born a slave in 1838, Reeves’ master brought him along as his personal servant when he went off to fight with the Confederate Army, during the Civil War. And seeing an opportunity when it presented itself, Reeves escaped for freedom after, reportedly, beating up his master following an argument over a card game. Reeves fled to the then Indian Territory (which later became the state of…

Is this the key to ‘biological immortality’ or
is this due to medial nightmares that are on the rise?

All I Want Is Education

Simple things taken for granted can easily be snatched from us. Read my thoughts on the bravery demonstrated by Malala Yousafzai.

Every little boy has dreams (no not that kind), and mine were often of flying in a military jet. Now I’ve done some daft things in my day, realised many of my dreams, but it’s one dream that has always been allusive, just beyond my reach.

We went to Thailand for one month to travel around, learn about the thai culture, dive, climb and party. We went to Bangkok, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao, Krabi and Koh Phi Phi.

We enjoyed the full moon party and met some friends from Barcelona in the Koh Phangan island. We rented motorcicles and drove across the island. On our way, we found a local kid riding an elephant. From the Koh Phangan island we went to Koh Thao. We did our open water and advanced course in Sunshine divers resort, a place where we felt as if we were part of a big family. The instructors taught us all about the ocean and the different kinds of fish while constantly having fun.

We were running…
