As I began to love myself I found that anguish and emotional suffering
are only warning signs that I was living against my own truth.
Today, I know, this is “AUTHENTICITY”.
As I began to love myself I understood how much it can offend somebody.
As I try to force my desires on this person, even though I knew the time

Memorial Day.
It’s not simply a holiday of family reunions, leisurely picnics or sunshine and happiness. Let’s stop to remember………
Please pause to think of the multitude of men and women who have served our country together with those who do so today….willingly. They protect us on our own soil in addition to all around the world. Soldiers who risk their lives for our freedom. Many travel to far off places, other cities and countries, vine-covered jungles or wind whipped deserts to fight wars in the name of, FREEDOM.
Our country’s Armed Forces fight enemies we never thought of before. Sometimes, the ‘enemy’ wears a mask making him look much like our neighbor next door. We ask, why? Why is there hate? Why do we fight? Can’t we get along? Let’s live in peace, be happy, respect each other, love one another and remember God’s word…please?

Matthew Cowles Dead: ‘All My Children’ Actor Dies At 69

Matthew Cowles was found dead Thursday, May 22, at the age of 69, The Hollywood Reporter confirms.
Cowles was best known for his role as Billy Clyde Tuggle on “All My Children,” which he played for more than four decades, earning two daytime Emmy nominations over the course of his career. Other memorable work included a recurring part in HBO’s “Oz” (2003) as well as a role in “Shutter Island” (2010).

A Purr-fect Kitty-Cat

This blog post is dedicated to a very special member of my family who sadly went off to Kitty Heaven last week.
‘Slinky’ came into our lives just after my tenth birthday and was with us for seventeen years. He was the gentlest, most beautiful kitty you’d ever come across – all you had to do was look at him and he’d start purring (loudly!). And he was such a wuss! He literally defined the term ‘scaredy cat’. But at the end of the day, he was a lovely companion, especially for a cat (because, let’s face it, all cats have attitude – it’s what makes them so ‘funny’).
