A man drinks a shot of whiskey every night before bed. After years of this, the wife wants him to quit; she gets two shot glasses, filling one with water and the other with whiskey.

After getting him to the table that had the glasses, she brings his bait box. She says “I want you to see this.” She puts a worm in the water it, and it swims around.

She puts a worm in the whiskey, and the worm dies immediately. She then says, feeling that she has made her point clear, “what do you have to say about this experiment?”

He responds by saying: “If I drink whiskey, I won’t get worms!”

One day at the entrance to heaven, St. Peter saw a New York street gang.

walk up to the Pearly Gates. This being a first, St. Peter ran to God and said, “God,

there are some evil, thieving New Yorkers at the Pearly Gates. What do I do?”.

God replied, “Just do what you normally do with that type. Re-direct them down to hell.”

St. Peter went back to carry out the order and all of a sudden he comes running back yelling “God, God, they’re gone, they’re gone!”

“Who, the New Yorkers?”.

“No, the Pearly Gates.”

I am honestly not sure why I am being drAwn to these symbols. But have drawn it on my wrist and when I am out of here am gonna get it tattooed onto my wrist….

‘Stealing A Nation’ (2004) is an extraordinary film about the plight of the Chagos Islands, whose indigenous population was secretly and brutally expelled by British Governments in the late 1960s and early 1970s to make way for an American military base. The tragedy, which falls within the remit of the International Criminal Court as “a crime against humanity”, is told by Islanders who were dumped in the slums of Mauritius and by British officials who left behind a damning trail of Foreign Office documents.

Before the Americans came, more than 2,000 people lived on the islands in the Indian Ocean, many with roots back to the late 18th century. There were thriving villages, a school, a hospital, a church, a railway and an undisturbed way of life. The islands were, and still are, a British crown…

23/11/2014- I left South East Asia after almost 18 months of teaching in Thailand, and travelling around its neighbouring countries.

I did a lot, I saw a lot.

If you get the chance, just do it!

My main tip to people who are thinking about moving to Thailand and teaching is not to believe a lot of the negative experiences written online about it. Sure it isn’t perfect, but life isn’t, is it? The majority of people you meet have an avalanche of pro’s that outweigh their con’s. And just remember, a lot depends on the type of person you are.

My experience inspired me to teach and travel my way around the world (hence this site and its title), which is what I have been doing since I left. It’s hard to believe that as I write this I have been in Korea for almost 6 months already.

Yes I know this isn’t my usual song however I couldn’t help but prove my friend wrong who said there was no way I could pull this off..  I say if you can’t have fun, then you don’t know how to live. The key is to not take yourself to seriously.
