Lagerstroemia speciosa (Queen’s Crepe Myrtle) Aka Giant Crepe-myrtle, Banabá Tree, La Reina de las Flores, or Pride of India, is a species of Lagerstroemia native to tropical southern Asia. In Part One of these series, I only emphasized the flower of this tree. On Part Two of this series, I will emphasize on the tree itself. It is a small to medium-sized tree growing to 20 metres (66 ft) tall, with smooth, flaky bark. This is one of only a few deciduous trees which grow in tropical and subtropical areas of the country. A profusion of large, three-inch wide, bright pink to lavender blooms appear in dense, foot-long, terminal panicles from June to July, making queen’s crape myrtle a spectacular specimen or street tree. Queen’s crepe myrtle can reach 40 to 60 feet in height and a spread of 30 to 40 feet.

Anyone who joined me on last week’s walk around Windmill Hill, will probably know  that this drift of yellow is commonly known as Lady’s bedstraw or Lady’s tresses (Galium verum). When dried it smells of freshly mown hay, and so was once added to mattresses. Given these supine associations it seemed fitting that the only way to capture its essence was to lie down with it in the grass.

And lying down certainly reduces operator wobble, although there wasn’t much I could do about the summer breeze.  So I caught that too. What a pleasant surprise!  Usually, a movie over done this many times sucks.  Terminator Genisys was really good, even with a visibly older Arnold Schwarzenegger, who turns 68 the end of this month.  Actually, Arnold made the movie.  This Terminator sequel has it all; action, special effects, humor, good story, surprises, mystery and it made sense.  Human Resistance Leader, John Connor (Jason Clarke), in retaliation to the on going machine war, sends one of his soldiers, Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) back in time to 1984 to save his mother, Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) in hopes of stopping Skynet from killing her.  This would enable the Resistances’ victory against Skynet to stand and allow mankind to live.  During Kyle’s transition to 1984,  he received a cryptic warning of events in the year 2017 as well as witnessed a soldier attacking John Connor. Today was such a great adventure for my family : dad – “Beltran G. Gargoles ” & mom – “Ninfa A.  Gargoles ” and a true friend of mine “Ma.  Theresa Acita”. We enjoyed our time gazing the fantastic fragrance of Mother Nature.  Bago City do really implement the advocacy being  Environmental Friendly.  We must always take good care of our Mother Nature so that for the next generations they will also learn to appreciate it.   We had our survey about there resort in Buenos Aires Mountain Resort. People in Buenos Aires were very accommodating and friendly.  The environment was so beautiful and they have amazing and awesome people also.  Indeed it was an extravaganza experience.
