The birds of Thailand included 1057 species as of early 2018. Of them, more than 100 are rare or accidental, two have been introduced by humans, and nine have been extirpated. Sixty-four of the country’s species are globally threatened.
The birds of Thailand are mainly typical of the Indomalaya ecozone, with affinities to the Indian subcontinent to the west, and, particularly in Southern Thailand, with the Sundaic fauna to the southeast. The northern mountains are outliers of the Tibetan Plateau, with many species of montane birds, and in winter the avifauna is augmented by migrants from the eastern Palearctic and Himalayas. That Thailand’s habitats are contiguous with those of neighbouring countries explains the low number of endemic species.

Hike through redwood forests to Big Sur River. California’s coast redwoods meet their southernmost habitat along the Big Sur coast, and this gem of a park, located 26 miles south of Carmel, is a great way to sample their deep shade and cathedral-like beauty.

Colorado has over 1,500 ghost towns. Currently only about 640 remain. Due to incomplete records and legends that are now accepted as fact, no list will ever be complete.
Most Colorado ghost towns were abandoned for the following reasons:
- Mining towns were abandoned when the mines closed; many due to the devaluation of silver in 1893.
- Mill towns were abandoned when the mining towns they serviced closed.
- Farming towns on the eastern plains were often deserted due to rural depopulation.
- Coal towns were abandoned when the coal (or the need for it) ran out.
- Stage stops were abandoned when the railroad came through.
- Rail stops were deserted when the railroad changed routes or abandoned the spurs.
Others were abandoned for more unusual reasons. Some were resort towns which never brought in enough tourists.

The National Wild and Scenic Rivers System was created by the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act of 1968, enacted by the U.S. Congress to preserve certain rivers with outstanding natural, cultural, and recreational values in a free-flowing condition for the enjoyment of present and future generations.
.
The Rogue River in southwestern Oregon in the United States flows about 215 miles in a generally westward direction from the Cascade Range to the Pacific Ocean. Known for its salmon runs, whitewater rafting, and rugged scenery, it was one of the original eight rivers named in the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act of 1968.

The question here might be – where do you start with what buildings are the “most” significantly gorgeous in Gdańsk? In a city absolutely brimming in history, buildings with historic relevance clearly amount to more than 100. But life has its limits and the Old Town of Gdańsk is merely the beginning of a journey through the incredible architecture that Gdańsk offers to the world. The only reason to call it quits at 19 is because you ran out of time.

Hisarya is a small resort town in Bulgaria, in Plovdiv Province.
It is notable for the impressive remains of the ancient Roman city of Diocletianopolis, the enormous walls of which still stand close to their original height for the majority of their circuit. The ancient city lies largely unencumbered by the adjacent modern town, in green parkland full of birdsong. In the centre of the park are still over two dozen hot mineral springs.
Hisar means fort or castle in Turkish.
