As the biggest food day of the year approaches, I am sure many of you may be already dreading all the prep and time it takes to get Thanksgiving dinner on the table. Am I right?
Well, I am here to relieve you of all that stress this year. Yes, Thanksgiving Dinner can be prepared in 8 hours max…seriously.
Let’s start with the star of the Thanksgiving show, the Turkey. My 5-Ingredient Rosemary Lemon Roast Turkey is roasted breast-side-down at a higher temperature, then rotated. I roast the turkey for 3 hours, then turn off the oven & allow the turkey to continue cooking as the oven slowly cools. The turkey is succulent & flavorful.
At least 437 people were killed and more than 7,600 others injured after a 7.3-magnitude earthquake struck near Iran’s border with Iraq, authorities said Monday.
In Iran, rescuers who worked through dozens of aftershocks and were hindered by landslides ended their efforts late Monday night/early Tuesday morning, the country’s top emergency management official, Pir-Hossein Kolivand said, according to Reuters.
Many houses in rural areas of Iran are made of mud bricks that can crumble easily in a quake.

From politics to entertainment, headlines for weeks have been dominated by stories of powerful men being accused of sexual misconduct.
So “Saturday Night Live” tried to address it throughout the show.
For the first time since returning to air this season, the cold open didn’t feature Alec Baldwin playing Donald Trump. But the show kept the focus on politics, with a sketch about allegations that Senate candidate Roy Moore pursued a 14-year-old when he was 32.

It’s one of the holy grails of science: a cure for Alzheimer’s. Currently, there is no treatment to stop the disease, let alone slow its progression. And billionaire Bill Gates thinks he will change that.
“I believe there is a solution,” he told me without hesitation.
“Any type of treatment would be a huge advance from where we are today,” he said, but “the long-term goal has got to be cure.”
.
I had the chance to sit down with Gates recently to talk about his newest initiative. He sat in front of our cameras exclusively to tell me how he hopes to find a cure to a disease that now steals the memories and other cognitive functions of 47 million people around the world.
Leading heart health experts tightened the guidelines for high blood pressure Monday, a change that will sharply increase the number of U.S. adults considered hypertensive in the hope that they, and their doctors, will address the deadly condition sooner.
The American Heart Association, the American College of Cardiology and nine other groups redefined high blood pressure as a reading of 130 over 80, down from 140 over 90. The change, the first in 14 years, means that 46 percent of U.S. adults, many of them under the age of 45, now will be considered hypertensive. Under the previous guideline, 32 percent of U.S. adults had high blood pressure.
“We’re recognizing that blood pressures that we in the past thought were normal or so-called pre-hypertensive actually placed the patient at significant risk for heart disease and death and disability,” said Robert M. Carey, co-chairman of the group that produced the new report. “The risk hasn’t changed. What’s changed is our recognition of the risk.”

A year ago, Donald Trump was elected president. We asked you to tell us what he’s done right and wrong since. Here are some of your responses. Use the like and dislike buttons below each comment to indicate whether you agree or disagree with the contributor’s opinion.
This would be considered a scandal at any other time under any other presidency.
Donald Trump, who just announced to everyone that he trusts a former KGB agent over all 17 American intelligence agencies, is allowing the former head of KGB counter-intelligence to be handed the keys to US Embassy security in Moscow.
Mr. Viktor Budanov and his son Dmitry run Elite Security Holdings, which was just awarded the $2.83 million contract to handle security for not only the Embassy, but US consulates in several cities to include St. Petersburg.
The contract and background of the firm was reported this past Friday in Kommersant, a Russian-language newspaper distributed in the United Kingdom.
The sCarabane camper is equipped with a wind generator, solar panels, and a parabolic mirror for heating water, making it a great choice for those who want to go camping without sacrificing luxury.
We’ve seen some impressive campers in our day, but nothing quite compares to the sCarabane. Billed as a “self-sufficient rotating caravan,” this concept trailer features a slew of amenities — including the ability to generate its own power — that could make it the ultimate portable home for those living off the grid.
When in its mobile form — it can be pulled by a vehicle — the sCarabane measures 25.5 feet in length, 9.1 feet in height, and 8.2 feet in width. But, upon arrival at the campsite, the trailer transforms into surprisingly large and open space, complete with two bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen, and dining area. It even comes with a 140 square-foot foldout deck that provides additional outdoor living space. This transformation requires just one person and takes about 30 minutes to complete.

Three thousand people crowded into the State Armory in Pittsfield, Mass., on Dec. 11, 1921, to mourn Lt. Col. Charles W. Whittlesey, famed leader of World War I‘s “lost battalion.”
Now he too was lost.
A century ago, every newspaper reader in America knew the story. Whittlesey, a tall, bookish soldier, had led 554 men of the 308th Infantry up a thickly wooded French ravine early on Oct. 2, 1918, then became trapped and isolated.
When relief finally came, just 194 soldiers could get to their feet; 107 were dead, 63 missing. And of those able to walk, only a half dozen were deemed fit to continue the advance.
The war would be over in a month. But not for Whittlesey.
