The Delta variant, the highly transmissible version of the coronavirus that now makes up almost all new cases in the United States, continues to drive a surge throughout the country, with average new cases topping 100,000 for the past week.
Some of those infections have been reported in fully vaccinated people in so-called breakthrough cases. As the sheer number of those vaccinated increases, so will the raw number of breakthrough cases, especially with the Delta variant circulating. But experts say breakthrough cases do not mean the vaccine is ineffective.
The Delta variant’s dominance is new enough that authoritative data does not yet exist, but the available data shows that unvaccinated people are still much more likely to contract Covid-19 and far more likely to experience symptomatic disease, while vaccines drastically reduce the risk of hospitalization and death from the virus.

The NY Times is propaganda. My aunt is a nurse working in the COVID unit in St. Louis and most every patient she’s working with got their vaccination.
I’ve interviewed numerous nurses and the thing with these vaccines is that they don’t have high efficacy rates, they have not finished clinical trials and won’t until at least next year. A lot of health care workers are just going along with this farce because speaking out makes them a target for self-righteous politicians and professionals who create rules for everyone that they themselves do not adhere to.
The thing with viruses is that they’re living beings. They want to live. So they change and mutate. But they become more contagious and less deadly to thrive. So what was a bad cold that only a few people died from is not just a cold that doesn’t do much.

Very interesting, do the current vaccinations keep you off a ventilator? What I’m gathering from your comment is that if you are unvaccinated and you are infected by the Delta Variant, it will just make you real sick but won’t kill you. Will, it put you in the hospital? Did what you are saying happen with Ebola?
