Michael Jordan married his girlfriend of five years, Yvette Prieto, Saturday in a jaw-dropping 40,000 square foot tent.
According to local realtors Jeff and Cary Lichtenstein, the couple’s venue is the “largest tent in wedding history,” and is actually 5,000 square feet larger than their home. New transplant technology keeps organs ‘alive’ outside body

In every medical drama the scene is the same: The surgeon carefully places the delicate organ in a cooler filled with ice and snaps the lid shut. The transplant team then sprints toward the door, hoping to reach its patient in time.
That speed isn’t just for dramatic effect. Transplant teams rush because they have less than eight hours to transport the organ to the operating room, prepare it for surgery and implant it into the recipient’s body.
“Beyond that time, there is significant injury to the (organ), which makes it unusable,” said Dr. Abbas Ardehali, director of UCLA’s heart and lung transplant program.

It is said that you can always take a Bengali away from Calcutta but never the other way round. Well, so being the quintessential Bengali there was no reason behind my not missing the City of Joy. Though I loved gorging on the Dal Makhni, Tandoori Chicken and other north Indian delicacies, I did yearn for the delicious Chingri Maachher Malaikari and Sona Muger Dal occasionally. 
Thanks to the south Delhi locale of Chitto Park, my gastronomic longings always found an way out to ease themselves.

Kermit Gosnell Abortion Trial: Doctor Won’t Take Witness Stand At Trial

A Philadelphia abortion provider won’t testify or call witnesses at his capital murder trial, leaving jurors to weigh five weeks of prosecution evidence.
Dr. Kermit Gosnell, 72, is charged with killing four babies allegedly born alive at a clinic that authorities have described as filthy. He is also charged in the 2009 overdose death of a 41-year-old refugee who died months after coming to the U.S.
The jury is expected to hear closing arguments on Monday.
Former employees have testified that Gosnell relied on untrained, unlicensed staff to sedate and monitor women as they waited for abortions. Three workers have pleaded guilty to third-degree murder charges, admitting they helped medicate the adult victim or “snipped” babies’ necks after they were born alive to make sure they died.
