Lenny Kravitz married “The Cosby Show” actress Lisa Bonet when the two eloped in Las Vegas in 1987, on Lisa’s 20th birthday. In 1988, the young couple had a daughter named Zoë and stayed married for several years before divorcing in 1993. Now, Lenny is opening up about his relationship with Lisa both during and after their marriage.

In this clip from “Oprah’s Master Class,” Lenny reflects on his marriage to Lisa and reveals what their relationship is like now, post-divorce.

“We were very young,” Lenny says about their near-six-year marriage. “It was wonderful.”

With their divorce two decades behind him, Lenny feels he has gained perspective on why their relationship played out the way it did. “I see now what it was all about: It was really all about bringing this beautiful child to the planet,” he says about Zoë.

Three veteran storm chasers were among the 10 people killed when a violent tornado barreled into the Oklahoma City metro area.

Jim Samaras told The Associated Press on Sunday that his brother Tim Samaras, 54, of Bennett, Colo., was killed Friday. Tim Samaras’ son, 24-year-old Paul Samaras, also of Bennett; and another chaser, Carl Young, also died.

The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Okla., said it believed the deaths were the first time scientific researchers were killed while chasing tornadoes. The Samaras’ and Young were pursuing an EF3 tornado as it bore down on a metropolitan area of more than 1 million people.

“He looked at tornadoes not for the spotlight of TV but for the scientific aspect. At the end of the day, he wanted to save lives and he gave the ultimate sacrifice for that,” Jim Samaras said.

Actor Michael Douglas taught the world at least one thing Monday: oral sex can sometimes cause cancer.

In an interview published in the Guardian newspaper, Douglas appeared to blame his own battle with throat cancer on oral sex – although that interpretation was later disputed by one of his representatives.

The Guardian quoted Douglas as attributing his illness to the HPV virus spread through oral sex. When asked about his cancer, Douglas said, “without wanting to get too specific, this particular cancer is caused by HPV (human papillomavirus), which actually comes from cunnilingus.”

In response, spokesman Allen Burry said Douglas never said oral sex was the cause of his own cancer, just one of the many causes.

In many communities across the United States, basketball is a common sport.  It doesn’t take much effort to convince children to play it.  Many of those children may even see themselves as one day becoming a major player for the New York Knicks or the Miami Heat. 

Yet, 29-year old Ian Thomas-Minor, who played college basketball, is inspiring kids to invest in their future by having a back-up plan.

Last summer, Minor hosted the First Annual Battle in the Bluffs, a two-day free basketball camp and tournament that encourages kids to consider what they need to be successful in basketball and use that in their everyday lives.

The camp and tournament, a first attempt by Minor to provide children on the island of Martha’s Vineyard with positive lessons he learned in basketball, is a product, which stems from Minor’s own experiences in basketball.

The jazz guitar on the far left is a ’75. I recently put in some new P-90s.  I was afraid to but now I am glad I did.  The Stratocaster is a ’99 and has new overwound vintage p-ups. The Washburn is a ’97 Festival Series. The electronics work now nbut didn’t when I got it… I cleaned it up and rewired everything. The entire thing vibrates which I love and it sounds great. I play elixirs with the crazy nanoweb coating thing on ’em and it just rings and rings.

Disney has a policy in place for disabled patrons (along with up to six of their guests) to access rides from a “more convenient entrance” and avoid the long wait lines. Disney also offers a personal family tour guide and VIP passes for non-disabled (and presumably disabled) families for $310 to $380 per hour.

An article in the NY Post dated May 14 (link here) revealed that a group of wealthy, Manhattan moms have been hiring disabled people to pose as family members during trips to Disney so that their families can cut the lines.

Apparently a social anthropologist researching wealthy New York moms for a book discovered the practice. This “service” or “black-market Disney guides” as it is being referred to, is a bargain at $130/hour.
