The Federal Aviation Administration said Monday it is considering giving permission to seven movie and television filming companies to use unmanned aircraft for aerial photography, a potentially significant step that could lead to greater relaxation of the agency’s ban on commercial use of drones.
The Motion Picture Association of America helped file the request for exemptions on behalf of Aerial MOB LLC, Astraeus Aerial, Flying-Cam Inc., HeliVideo Productions LLC, Pictorvision Inc., Vortex Aerial, and Snaproll Media LLC, the FAA said in a statement. To receive the exemptions, the companies must show their drone operations won’t harm safety, and would be in the public interest.
Currently, no commercial drone flights are permitted in U.S. with the lone exception of flights off the Alaskan coast over the Arctic Ocean by the Conoco Philips oil company. The FAA only granted permission for those flights after Congress told the…

Under the Dome is about a small town, Chester Falls, that’s suddenly enclosed under a 10 plus miles clear, dome that’s high enough to allow rain. No one knows where it came from or if it’s ever going to go away. There is no way in or out. The town is literally trapped. There is no way to get any medical supplies to the people or food. The military tried to blow the dome up with the mother of all bombs but failed. In the meanwhile, there are many stories going on all over town. For example, a councilman’s son kidnapped a former girlfriend and locked her in his bomb shelter. 2 kids have seizures whenever they touch the palms of their hands to each other. Several police were killed, each in a bazaar way, the councilman killed the town reverend who was involved in illegal drug dealings and several strangers with unrighteous agendas are trapped there as well …
Disney really knows how to make movies. Maleficent was magnificent. They are the pioneers in special effects. Disney has reinvented the fairy tale known as Snow White. Maleficent (played by Angelina Jolie) was once a gracious fairy who was betrayed by some one she befriended as a child. This event changed her life and the way she perceives her world. Because her heart was good in the first place, she had a problem when she started to fall in love with the very person she cursed. The special effects are so good in this movie, I found it difficult to believe it wasn’t real. We will have a hard time breaking the reality to our young children who will grow up in a world of special effects that seem so real to them. Maleficent is a fantastic story that sends a good message. See this one in 3D and on the big screen…
A Million Ways to Die in the West is one of the funniest movie to hit the theaters since “The Wedding Crashers”. I genuinely laughed my head off. I grant you, the entire movie wasn’t rip roaring funny but the many scenes that were funny, were really funny. A dorky sheep farmer/cowboy (Albert played by Seth MacFarlane) who is cowardly and afraid to defend himself in any gunfight, is in love with a society seeker who eventually breaks up with him. She (Louise played by Amanda Seyfried) moves on immediately to a semi-quasi wealthy owner of a local store (Foy played by Neil Patrick Harris). In the meanwhile, Albert meets the wife (Anna played by Charlez Theron) of the fastest gun in the west (Clinch played by Liam Neeson) and they fall in love. Of course I can’t reveal what happens but you’re in for some good entertainment. Since this is a comedy, anything I say will give away…
