Two people accused of murdering two Illinois men, then having sex on top of the bodies were unable to orgasm during the corpse-side intercourse, according to a newly released police interview.

Alisa Massaro and Joshua Miner were accused in the strangulation deaths of Eric Glover and Terrence Rankins, both 22, in Joliet, Illinois, back in January. Two others, Adam Landerman and Bethany McKee, were also accused in the murder.

Police said Glover and Rankins were lured to Massaro’s apartment, where they were robbed and strangled to death. Police also said Miner, 24, asked the 18-year-old Massaro to have sex with him atop the freshly deceased bodies.

As a content specialist for Debate.org, a site that invites users to discuss controversial topics, Chrum had to wade into the dark, sometimes poisonous muck of Internet comments. Each day, she sifted through 50 to 200 questionable posts, trying to decide what to publish and what to let rot.

“It was honestly the most emotionally exhausting thing I’ve ever done here at [work],” Chrum told Mashable.

Today, it is hard to believe that North and South Korea were ever a united land.

The repressive northern state and its wealthy southern neighbor look like different universes in German photographer Dieter Leistner’s powerful photography project Korea-Korea. Their division in the aftermath of World War II and the subsequent Korean war wrenched families apart and set the nations on vastly divergent political and economic paths.

Leistner photographed public spaces in the North Korean capital of Pyongyang in 2006, and found similar locations in South Korea’s capital Seoul in 2012. From commuters on public transport to students in class, his striking juxtaposition of everyday locations shows just how stark the divide has become.

Scientists have previously classified five large-scale losses of animal life as mass-extinction events, all of which occurred millions of years ago.
