Woot! I’ve sold my first two books EVER!

And I haven’t even been able to format them right for the premium catalog!
Now I really feel like an author. To the two people who bought my book, thank you(BTW, could you leave me a review on the first one? Lol)! Sara and I should be posting the last one on smashwords soon, then I need to find some help formatting them correctly for their catalog. Stupid TOC, they won’t accept it into their catalog unless I have one.
Been a pain in the ass editing this last book from my phone. I feel like Missy is sitting on my shoulder, whispering in my one good ear that the book isn’t done, running down to my thumbs and putting them to work on this android keyboard! Now I know why Nord hates fairies, they’re annoying!

The Rise and Fall

I know, you are just dying to read what I am about to share with you this weekend.
On a pilgrimage, we learnt the rise and fall of empires, religions and people. One particular site that we visited was the graveyard of Lazarus. He descended into the dead. His burial site is way deep down in a Muslim section. The Muslim’s rise in power took over many areas where Christianity thrived. The joke was, as we ascend, we are called the “rising of Lazarus.”
It’s a tiring journey. The minute we hit the bus, we are just dead to the world, visiting the dream land.
To go down further into the Dead Sea, it’s a long descent below sea level according to this demarcation line.

We have several plans in the works, starting with a trip to Guatemala at the end of November to attend a wedding. We first met Curtis and Augusta in early 2007 when they so graciously opened their home in Panajachel for those of us volunteering with Miracles in Action. I remember commenting that I would love to be able to have a fraction of the skills that Augusta has in being the supreme hostess.

Professor Patricia Ward Identified As New York Woman Allegedly Beheaded By Son

The Long Island woman beheaded in a gruesome murder Tuesday night was a respected and beloved professor at Farmingdale State College, school officials have confirmed.
Patricia Ward taught language arts at the school for 28 years, spokesman Patrick Calabria said in a statement.
“We are in shock,” Calabria told the New York Post. “The staff in her department is teary-eyed. We are providing counseling to the staff who need it. It’s a very sad day. A lot of people are taking it very hard.”

Is Hollywood running out of themes, plots and ideas? Another bad ass comes out of retirement to kill, kill, kill. The reason is usually because some family member (mostly the wife and/or kid) is killed or wronged somehow and vengeance is mine, saith who? Bruce Willis, Denzel Washington, Vin Diesel, Jason Statham, Liam Neeson and Harrison Ford to name a few. The other scenario is the country can’t survive without this former agent’s skill base. John Wick, played by Keanu Reeves, was very entertaining but nothing new. I think John Wick may have piled up more bodies than anyone else but it was that familiar violence of a killing machine that no one can catch or stop. So there you have it, after hearing the plot, you just have to sit back and enjoy all the killing. It was the opening of the railway station in 1860 that made Hampstead Heath, a 790-acre rambling open space north of London, accessible to the many poorer people who lived beyond walking distance of its borders.
The Heath was acquired as a public open space in 1871, and additional land was purchased in 1888 and 1889, respectively. Shortly after the first acquisition, the Bank Holidays Act of 1871 established four national day-long holidays: Easter Day, Boxing Day and the first Mondays in May and August.
The Heath hosted a fair on the May and August bank holidays, and ‘Appy ‘Ampstead became part of national conversation in the 1890s, celebrated in song and cartoons.

There is a saying like ‘Everything in a coconut tree is useful’. It gives coconuts. The tender coconuts are used for quenching the thirst. The leaves are used for roofing, partitions. The trunk is used for furniture and firewood. From the coconuts we get coconut water, coconut and coconut oil. The skin of the coconuts are used to make coir products. After filtering out the coconut oil and sometimes coconut milk (used widely in Kerala dishes), the cakes are used as cattle feed. Some coconut trees are used to filter out toddy, which is a local drink with mild alcoholic content. In the olden days, every house hold used to lease out a couple of coconut trees for toddy tapping and in return the landlord got fresh toddy everyday. That was the secret of their energy.
