I woke up in the middle of the night one night last year, and my boyfriend was missing from his side of the bed. I fell back asleep, assuming he was just in the bathroom. A couple hours later, his side was still empty. I looked in the bathroom — no one there. I checked the kitchen. Nothing.

The only room left to check in the apartment was my roommate’s. She was gone for the night, so I peeked in. Sure enough, there he was, curled up in the fetal position in her bed.

“What are you doing?” I asked.

One of the most common questions I am asked by fellow bloggers is, in my opinion, one of the most difficult to provide a definitive answer to:

How do I increase the traffic that I receive to my blog?

Before I begin, I think that it is important to note three crucial points:

• Building a following and, consequently increasing your traffic, takes lots of time and effort. You are extremely unlikely to receive thousands, or even hundreds of views simply by pressing the publish button.
• Content is key. Well-written posts will draw new people in, and encourage them to visit again. Posting page after page of inspirational quotes looks pretty, but will leave your audience bored after a while. Be yourself, make no apologies and believe in what you are creating.
• I am not an expert, nor have I ever claimed to be.

Juliette Lewis has come a long way from a wild, cold blooded killer in Natural Born Killers to conservative detective in charge of a murder investigation of a little boy, Tom Murphy (Aiden Malik) bludgeoned to death and left dead in the woods.  I couldn’t understand how Ben Crawford (Ryan Phillippe) could be blamed for the killing so I watched several episodes to determine if Secrets and Lies would end up in the 1013 file or go full steam ahead.  After 4 episodes, it’s beginning to wiggle it’s way out of harms way and into potential-ville.

A man (Ben) running his routine morning jog, discovers a little boys dead body in the woods.  He turns the body over, sees that his neighbor’s child, they call little Tommy, is dead.  He then runs home and calls 911.  Ben has 2 daughters Natalie and Abby Crawford played by Indiana Evans and…

Imagine a massive croc. Walking on its hind legs. Towering over you and ready to clamp down on you with its enormous fang-filled maw.

What sounds like something out of a bad Star Trek episode actually existed back in the day. Scientists say the fearsome prehistoric croc, Carnufex carolinensis, ruled North America as a top predator millions of years before the dinosaurs showed up.

A mysterious specimen, hidden away. Fossils of Carnufex carolinensis, a.k.a. the “Carolina Butcher,” were discovered a decade ago in the Pekin Formation, a geological formation in North Carolina’s Chatham County.

I’m not sure where this series is headed but it has started off as a very slow thriller.  Stationed in Jerusalem, there’s an FBI Agent, Peter Connelly (Jason Isaacs) sleeping with his boss, a murder and a past involving the death of Peter’s daughter.  Anne Heche plays Lynn Monahan, an FBI official who is concerned with making her departmental protocol work while sleeping with Peter.  A couple of mysteries are thrown into the mix every chance they get.  I am perplexed over a little boy being prepped for some unknown destiny that demands his feet never touch the outside world.  I’m not sure if he’s a clone or a science project.  This is one of the mysteries of Dig.  So far, it’s just okay but appears to have a lot of potential.  The murdered girl, Archaeologist, Emma Wilson (Alison Sudol) looks like Peter’s dead daughter and everyone is worried about…

Let’s Be Cops is another silly comedy that I found to be a step up from slap stick.  2 guys who are best friends, have no life.  One Justin (Damon Wayans, Jr.) is a video game designer who creates software for gamers.  The other Ryan (Jake Johnson) is unemployed with no purpose or idea as to what he wants to do with himself.  Justin is being bullied and disrespected on his job while Ryan is oblivious to everything around him.  One day Ryan was invited to his college reunion party, which he misinterpreted as a masquerade party rather than a costume ball.  After much debate, they went as cops, using the uniforms Justin used earlier to pitch a new game about police.  On the way to, during and on the way from the party, they were perceived as real cops and started receiving perks of the job.  Ryan decided…

Brick Mansions was one of the last movies made with the late Paul Walker.  It’s also one of the best films I’ve seen him in.  This remake of the 2004 French film, District 13, which also starred David Belle is quite the attention getter.  In the city of Detroit, a dystopian ghetto complete with drug infested projects, is sequestered by a 9 foot containment wall surrounding the entire area.  Eventually this ghetto, deemed as unfit for humans, would be a consideration for demolition by city officials.  A highly skilled undercover police officer named Damien Collier (Paul Walker) and an unlikely former criminal/resident, trying to live a straight life, Lino (David Belle)  team up to stop a gang, lead by war lord, Tremaine Alexander (RZA) from continuing their reign of terror and free the ghetto from crime.  In the meanwhile, the city mayor and other officials have a different agenda…

 Investigators say they have found the body of a New Jersey mother missing since New Year’s Eve by using a GPS device in her husband’s vehicle.

Burlington County Prosecutor Robert Bernardi announced Wednesday that the body of 26-year-old Erica Crippen was found Tuesday afternoon in Sykesville, Maryland.

Her hands and feet were bound with an electrical cord that also was around her neck. Duct tape was found on her face and nose.
