I have always thought it would be interesting to be a juror for a murder case.  I would have loved to have been a juror on the George Zimmerman case, or the Casey Anthony Case.  I admit that I would have been the one, lone hold out on both cases refusing to let these murder’s walk.    I do not know how jurors on either case were able to keep what they already knew about Casey Anthony or George Zimmerman , from the media coverage before the trial, out of their heads when deliberating.

How did they not factor in what they had heard from the media into their last choice of guilty or not guilty?     I do not think I could separate what I learned in the trial and what I knew from before the trial.   I might tell my self I could,  but in the end it…

Missouri man accused of planning for his daughter to be beaten and raped was swiftly arrested by police last Friday.

Anthony Brinkman, 32, allegedly placed an ad online looking for someone to beat and rape his 11-year-old daughter while he watched, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.

What Brinkman didn’t count on was an undercover officer responding to the request. Officer Randy Vaughn, a spokesman for the St. Louis County Police Department, said the undercover officer agreed to meet the suspect at a predetermined location, KMOV reported.

Brinkman then took his 11-year-old daughter 80 miles away from their home in Cuba, Mo. to St. Louis. He thought he was meeting a woman interested in sexually assaulting the girl with sex toys, according to KSDK. When he pulled into the meeting spot — a local Cracker Barrel — he was immediately taken into custody.

Two police officers were arrested in connection with rape in Atteridgeville, Pretoria on Wednesday, the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (Ipid) said. Ipid spokesman Moses Dlamini said the officers, aged 22 and 51, allegedly raped a teenager in September. The 17-year-old girl had an argument with her boyfriend at a tavern in Atteridgeville and the officers, dressed in full uniform, interfered. “The victim asked the police officers to take her home and the officers agreed and drove with her in the police vehicle.” The driver stopped the vehicle and allegedly raped the teenager at the back of the van. The other officer also allegedly raped her, said Dlamini.

Ah she’s pressing the special switch in the garden cupboard. Well she’s going to be noisy again. She lifts that big thing and moves it up and down or side to side over the plants. She has the white snake over her shoulder. Sometimes it slides off. A few times the noise has stopped. She calls him. He comes and his voice is loud. He cuts the snake and puts it together again. She is quiet but looks pleased. She presses the special switch in the cupboard and the noise begins again.

In the beginning the earth was a garbage dump; void and dark (Genesis 1:2). It was chaos having no substance and no life. God said, “Let there be…;” and it was (Genesis 1:3). What astounding power! With His word darkness disappeared and light surrounded the earth. At His word waters separated into the heavens and the earth. Not only that, but at His word, the waters separated and contained themselves in the clouds in the heavens and in the crevices in the earth. God merely spoke and whatever He said, “Let there be…” came into fruition (Genesis 1). And get this; He has preserved the earth from destruction (Nehemiah 9:6). The sky has not fallen, birds still fly and flowers still bloom. The moon has not fallen; neither has the sun.  No one can compare to such power!

This video from England is called WWT Slimbridge: Common Redstart.

Translated from BirdLife in the Netherlands:

The common redstart nests in Europe but winters in the Sahel, including in Burkina Faso. The curriculum ‘The Incredible Journey‘ will therefore also be offered, in French, to pupils in Burkina Faso in 2014. Children of Belemtisse primary school in Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso and the primary school ‘De Oanrin’ in Twijzel [in the Netherlands] will then be in touch. Together, this way, they will get to know better each others’ world and also the world of the common redstart, which flies back and forth between them.
