Willard Wigan sculpts figures small enough to fit on the head of a pin. To create these microscopic masterpieces, he works diligently through the stillest hours of the night, between his own heartbeats..Willard Wigan has immortalized the Obama family in the eye of a needle and Muhammad Ali on the head of a match. In producing sculptures so incredibly small, he works under a microscope and employs ingenious tools, such as a fly’s hair or an ex-girlfriend’s eyelash for paintbrushes. This passion for the diminutive stems from feelings of insignificance in Wigan’s childhood. He was severely dyslexic but undiagnosed, and his teachers’ harsh words drove him to hide in a nearby shed where he made shoes and hats for his friends, the ants. Today, his art has earned him national honors and critical acclaim, proving that some treasures can’t be seen with the…

What a thriller! The Following is the story of a deranged, serial killer named Joe Carroll and his cult of admirers.
As if being a serial killer wasn’t bad enough, this one has a cult following of deranged killers who will do anything for their hero, Joe Carroll, played by James Purefoy. The show stars Kevin Bacon as the obsessed cop, Ryan Hardy, who is hell bent on capturing Joe. This series is in it’s 2nd season and all the characters are playing their roles brilliantly. Joe had a wife named Claire Matthews, and a little boy but he killed her and the boy is now in the foster care system. Joe’s wife was played by Natalie Zea, who was dating Kevin Bacon’s character, Ryan, in season one. By the time season 2 rolled around, Claire was out of the picture. This series is intense and the thought this could ever be…

I can’t say I liked Inside Llewyn Davis. I found it a little weird.
I understand the movie was about a young folk singer who had no where to live in 1961 and that he slept on anyone’s couch, and that he was unsuccessful at being discovered, and of course, he had little to no money but, because the film only spanned over 1 week of Llewyn’s (played by Oscar Isaac) life, I didn’t really get a since of consistency or relevance. The cast was awesome but the story, for me, was not. I’m not sure why this movie received high ratings (I looked it up in IMDB and found it received a rating of 7.8) and 2 Oscar nods. Maybe I’m missing something. I found it boring, discombobulated, slow and dreary. I might add Justin Timberlake played Jim, another singer and friend to Llewyn. John Goodman also starred in the film…
After watching All is Lost, I agree that this movie should have gotten some kind of an Oscar nod. I believe Robert Redford only had 2 speaking occasions and is the only cast member in the movie.
All is Lost is about an older, experienced seaman who’s yacht collided with a shipping container at sea. The entire film shows the desperation and experience necessary to survive a huge, gaping hole left by the container, a severe storm, shark infested waters and limited food and contaminated drinking water. Unlike Tom Hanks in Cast Away, I found All is Lost interesting and intense. I was not too happy with the ending but over all, I found the movie worthy. Despite one cast member, no dialogue and a depressing subject, I think this movie was well done and I commend Robert Redford and J. C. Chandor (director) for a job well done.
