Recording an appearance on The Jay Leno Show — President Barack Obama reassured Leno and Americans watching that there is no ‘fear in the Yemen threat’ and that Americans have ‘no need to panic’. The president also discussed his expected g20 meeting with Russian president Vladamir Putin next month, and why he decided to cancel it.
“If people are paying attention, checking with the State Department or embassy, going on the website before you travel, find out what kind of precautions you should be taking, then I think it still makes sense for people to take vacations,” he said.
“They just have to make sure that they’re doing so in a prudent way.”
