The Middle East is in great turmoil. Iran is continuing its development of nuclear weapons and intercontinental missiles to deliver them. Forty thousand people have been murdered in Syria, heavy fighting continues there, and the threat of poison gas, a weapon of mass destruction is very real. Egypt is on the verge of a civil war. Terrorists are running a muck in Iraq, Jordan, Yemen, and Lebanon.

With all this going on, what worries the European Union is proposed construction of new housing on vacant land in eastern Jerusalem. Israel’s right to Jerusalem is no lesser than the right of the British to London or that of the French to Paris, and that is an understatement because the Jews have lived in Israel for thousands of years before either London or Paris were built.

Done all my classes, now I’ve just got exams in the way of my Christmas break! Spent most of my day studying… then came home and made myself cauliflower mash (delicious) and the tastiest desert I’ve made in a long time! Lol I mixed 3 tablespoons of hemp hearts, 1 mashed banana,1 cut up apple, half a tablespoon of coconut oil, cinnamon and a teaspoon of coconut sugar and baked it… soooooo indescribably good :p.  I ate this feast while giving into my guilty pleasure (and procrastinating) of ‘the vampire diaries’ lol.

My 95-year old grandfather just told me that he remembers when Charles Lindbergh made his transatlantic flight in 1927. He says he and his friends looked up in the sky as the plane passed by. Suddenly, my grandfather stopped telling me the story and began singing this song written about Lindbergh by Vernon Dalhart, two days after the famous flight. Awesome!!!!

Once again superstar Lipa Schmeltzer is using his celebrity status as a springboard for the greater good, with the release of a music video that uses a hit song to promote solidarity among Jews worldwide, no matter what their background or religious leanings.

The video features the dance sensation Mizrach, one of the most popular tracks from Lipa’s recent Leap of Faith album and shows the bespectacled icon singing and dancing with a group of Israeli soldiers, members of the noted Netzah Yehuda Battalion of the Nahal Haredi. Part of the Kfir Brigade of the Israeli Defense forces, Netzah Yehuda was created to give religious Israeli soldiers the opportunity to serve in the army while maintaining a strict adherence to their religious convictions.  (click ‘show more’ under video)
