Brick Mansions was one of the last movies made with the late Paul Walker. It’s also one of the best films I’ve seen him in. This remake of the 2004 French film, District 13, which also starred David Belle is quite the attention getter. In the city of Detroit, a dystopian ghetto complete with drug infested projects, is sequestered by a 9 foot containment wall surrounding the entire area. Eventually this ghetto, deemed as unfit for humans, would be a consideration for demolition by city officials. A highly skilled undercover police officer named Damien Collier (Paul Walker) and an unlikely former criminal/resident, trying to live a straight life, Lino (David Belle) team up to stop a gang, lead by war lord, Tremaine Alexander (RZA) from continuing their reign of terror and free the ghetto from crime.
