Food, glorious food! Eating new and exotic food when I’m scratching that itch always gives me a sense of pure joy when I’m travelling (or touristing…). Sure, everyone gets a case of Bali Belly now and then but it should never discourage you from gorgin yourself on the fruits you’ve never seen before, or the mystery meat in the stew being served up or jumble of veg and noodles flash-fried in front of you.

I love to eat. And the quality of a country’s cuisine forms a large part of its “return to” criteria: how likely am I to go back to said country? Much more likely if it can offer me tasty delights.

And so here is my list of favourite food destinations so far.

Disclaimer: I have not been everywhere; undoubtedly (and excitingly) there are many delicious meals that I am yet to discover.
