A few weeks ago we went to Fethiye, and spent a day lazing on the beach. It was pretty darned quiet, with the official season hardly started and most Türks refusing to go near the water as the air temperature was only 30 Celsius, or 86 Fahrenheit, which is considered far too cold for swimming weather over here 🙂
At one end of the beach, there was a wooden jetty. Now years ago, back in my youth, I would have loved that; running and jumping in to the water over and over again. For a few decades after that, I would have probably ignored it, or sat on the end dangling my tootsies into the warm Mediterranean water.

But now I’m an old fart with a blog… so what do I do, of course, go grab the camera and start pretending I know what I’m doing for any curious onlookers.
