Matthew Cowles was found dead Thursday, May 22, at the age of 69, The Hollywood Reporter confirms.
Cowles was best known for his role as Billy Clyde Tuggle on “All My Children,” which he played for more than four decades, earning two daytime Emmy nominations over the course of his career. Other memorable work included a recurring part in HBO’s “Oz” (2003) as well as a role in “Shutter Island” (2010).
