
The FBI rounded up the Bonanno family big Vincent Asaro in connection to the Dec. 11, 1978 heist, in which a well-planned robbery of Lufthansa cargo — organized by the late James (Jimmy the Gent) Burke — resulted in nearly $6 million in stolen cash and jewelry. Vincent Asaro was also charged for the death of Paul Katz, whose body was buried at Burke’s home.
