Young British artists and Polish representatives of art involved in social and political issues believe that today’s art is not impressive. Nowadays, nothing surprises us. However, the “British British Polish Polish” exhibition in the Center of Contemporary Art at Ujazdów Castle includes an impressive 140 works of art by 64 British and Polish artists including Tracey Emin, Damien Hirst and Sarah Lucas together with Polish representatives of critical art like Katarzyna Kozyra, Paweł Althemer and Artur Żmijewski. What they all have in common is the fact that their artwork was popular in the late ’80s and early ’90s. They were like bombs that fractured the system.
