Can someone tell me why Alexander Emmanuel “Alex” Rodriguez, nicknamed “A-Rod”, is so important? All I’ve heard in the last few weeks are stories about his alleged involvement again with an agency that provided some sort of banned drugs. Mr. Rodriguez was suspended through the 2014 season on Monday when the league penalized 13 players following an investigation into Biogenesis of America, a shuttered Florida anti-aging clinic accused of distributing banned performance-enhancing drugs. Mr. Rodriguez’s union formally filed an appeal of his doping suspension today, August 8, 2013.
His case will now be reviewed by an independent arbitrator. The players’ association had no further comment. Thank God there will be no further comment until the arbitrator rules in favor of MLB’s ban of Alex Rodriguez from a GAME even little kids play.
