The amazing story of a marriage marked by fantastical coincidences ended with the couple passing away within one day of each other, reports the Daily Mail.
94-year-old Les Brown died on July 17 in Southern California, just one day after the death of his wife, Helen. She was also 94. It made a certain type of cosmic sense. The couple, who celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary last year, were actually born on the same day — New Years Eve in 1918.
After becoming teenage sweethearts in high school, the Browns married when they were just 18. Instead of a lavish wedding, however, they eloped, due to the objections of their parents, who thought a marriage between a wealthy man and blue-collar girl would never last.
