fakeIn yet another bid to fight the menace of counterfeit currency in India, the government has decided to introduce one billion pieces of the Rs 10 bank notes made out of plastic on a trial basis. After the trial period a decision would be taken on making this a permanent solution and also the denomination of the plastic notes too would be increased.
The biggest problem that the Indian Government is facing regarding counterfeit currency is from the Rs 500 notes. If the trial process goes on fine, then the government would introduce the plastic or polymer notes in a higher denomination.
