My 95-year old grandfather just told me that he remembers when Charles Lindbergh made his transatlantic flight in 1927. He says he and his friends looked up in the sky as the plane passed by. Suddenly, my grandfather stopped telling me the story and began singing this song written about Lindbergh by Vernon Dalhart, two days after the famous flight. Awesome!!!!
